Starting Monday February 4, Research In Motion Limited (RIM)) renamed BlackBerry will trade under the symbol BBRY on NASDAQ and BB on the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Research In Motion Limited (RIM), is a multinational corporation serving the Diversified Communication Services Industry that is headquartered in Waterloo (Ontario), Canada. RIM stock is traded on NASDAQ as RIMM and on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) as RIM.

For the FY 2012 fiscal year ended March 3, 2012 RIM's revenues from devices & service decreased 7% YoY to $18.4 billion USD from $19.9 Billion in FY 2011. RIM's GAAP net income for fiscal 2012 was $1.2 billion USD, or $2.22 per share diluted, down from $3.4 Billion or $6.34 diluted share in FY 2011. In Fiscal Q4 2012 which included the peak holiday month, RIM shipped approximately 11.1 million BlackBerry® smartphone devices, down 21% from Q3, and 500,000 BlackBerry® PlayBook tablets.

RIM is a designer, manufacturer, and marketer of wireless solutions for the worldwide enterprise and prosumer/consumer mobile wireless communications market. Through the development of integrated hardware, software and services that support multiple wireless network standards, RIM provides platforms and solutions for seamless access to time-sensitive information including email, phone, short message service (SMS) messaging, content, Internet and intranet-based applications. RIM technology also enables an array of third party developers and manufacturers to enhance their products and services with wireless connectivity to data. RIM’s portfolio of products, services and embedded technologies are used by organizations and individuals worldwide and include the BlackBerry wireless device and server solution, software development tools, and other software and hardware. RIM operates offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
