Is anybody interested in this stock? I own a few thousand shares. I am not sure why the share price is not doing better. I hope it is not one of those bogus plays. I bought initially because it had so many promising plays in so many parts of the world. I figure at least one or two of the plays should at least hit big time. The stock did go up to about $2.85 mostly on the "hype" of the Cuba play. The Cuba play (KWG which is an affiliated company) is another story altogether. I also have not been too impressed with their IRs and it seems they have lots of those. A few things really ticked me off: 1) On about June 23, 1996, KWG had a press release which said that drill cores from another ~20 holes have just arrived from CUBA and results will be released ASAP. Well 4 months later, they still have not released them. What does that tell you? 2) One of their IRs told me that they are very active in the market in terms of supporting the stocks. If a stock has true merits then the shareholders will follow without management going into the market to support it. 3) Their was also a bit of controversy with Doug Leishman, mining analyst at Yorkton Securities in Vanc. Doug basically said the stock was way too far ahead of itself regarding the Cuba play and suspected the play will be a disappointment. Doug is certainly right so far. Comments from other shareholders are appreciated. Good trading. | ||||||||||||||
