Qurate Retail Group comprises six leading retail brands – QVC®, HSN®, Ballard Designs®, Frontgate®, Garnet Hill®, and Grandin Road® – engaging customers via television networks, ecommerce sites, streaming services, social pages, mobile apps, print catalogs, and in-store destinations. Qurate Retail, Inc. (NASDAQ: QRTEA, QRTEB, QRTEP) includes the Qurate Retail Group portfolio of brands as well as other minority interests and green energy investments.
The company has experienced a downturn due to a massive fire that took out their second largest distribution center for QVC/HSN, fears of linear cable cord-cutting, and their use of leverage.
They hired a new CEO David Rawlinson II in 2021, who implemented a turnaround plan titled Project Athens, with the goal of stabilizing the business and showing investors that Qurate has a lot left in the tank.
