Has anyone here ever thru hiked the AT and if so when? I am especially interested in hearing about the new ultra lite gear that is out there now. What did you take as your big three.....tent, sleeping bag and backpack?
Anyone planning a thru hike in the next year or two? If so, when and will you be NOBO (north bound), SOBO (south bound) or a Flip Flop (start midway and go to Mt Katahdin then flip back to your starting point and end at Springer Mt, Georgia)? What date do you plan to start?
Did you use standard old school hiking boots or the new ultra lite trail runners?
Let’s go hiking!!
