I have it on good authority that thoughtful ideas on Silicon Investor will directly or indirectly come to Donald’s attention! So this is an opportunity for ordinary people to make sure their vote counts, and their ideas count: a chance for the common man and woman to help make America Safe and Great again. I invite you to lay aside any differences you may have with a Donald Trump presidency and consider the fact that his victory is virtually assured. Furthermore, that his involvement with social media and his common-sense approach to issues allows everyone to have a voice, and to contribute to a new and improved America--where the civilised ideals that compelled the Founding Fathers to Treason may be reaffirmed and entrenched in Policy and Decision. This thread acknowledges that Donald Trump will almost certainly be the next leader of the Free World. We know it is an honor and a privilege. But no-one doubts the enormity of the task before him. No-one makes light of the enemies he faces, or the challenges he must overcome. He must face and fight the dragons of misery, despair, and hatred. And he must overcome. Note that the thread is unmoderated. If we are to respect free speech, we must show those who use these forums as a club, that ideas are stronger than noise. We must show them that the muzzle often reveals a paucity of ideas and a lack of conviction; that driving ideas underground simply creates subversion--and serves to organise either stupidity or evil. So if you have a thoughtful contribution to make on either domestic or foreign policy issues, this is your opportunity to have your votes counted and your voices heard! Let us advance our best ideas on domestic and foreign policy issues in order to give Donald Trump the benefit of the greatest human think tank ever put together—a concerned, honest, and educated citizenry! Donald Trump is like the self-actualised man in the great Kipling classic. So speak to him. Help him. He might be the leader. But this is YOUR FIGHT. So fight! "If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch," If— "IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!" __________________________________ Help Donald slay the dragons of prejudice, contempt, and ignorance. | ||||||||||||
