Search Engines - and different ways to search the web. I would like to list the companies making money or at least trying to make a profit.

I'm also very curious to find other options for deep web searching without the "directed" advertising getting in the way. I know that Universities have ways to search without being pestered by their searches being pointed at irrelevant companies trying to make a buck.

Please add comments, likes or dislike with respect to these different avenues for search.
