Hello All, Several Weeks ago I was receiving multiple requests to develop a dedicated Technical Analysis Thread. Patrick Slevin, Augustus Gloop, Richard Red, Jorj X McKie and others have mentioned it at different times.

Patrick was very succinent and to the point when he said he was looking around Silicon Investor for Threads (Blogs) that focused on various attributes of Technical Analysis where few and far between and his real issue with many of the existing Boards, is that the people on them know each other so well, that they tend to talk in shorthand and unless you are following the subject very closely.... it is very difficult to decipher the specialized Lingo on a thread such as the Elliott Wave Charting Thread.

As Time permits I will attempt to lay out the some of the chronology as to How Technical Analysis was born and how it has evolved in the past millennium. I will take a new approach for me and put a really substantial amount of information in the thread head and so it will be edited, updated and expanded much more often than any of my existing threadsl

It makes senses to keep the information chronological and sequential and the main thread head seems to be the only place on SI Where that can be done.

I do plan on suggesting to Craig Longhurst and Brad that the next key development is to create a Hyperlink connection system so that 50 related posts on a given topic... such as the price of crude can be tagged and linked together sequentially and then it can be read by Silicon Investor users and they can see one's thoughts on an issue instead of having to reinvent the wheel everytime someone asks a question that has already been answer in detail.

Your Most Humble Scribe,

John Jacob Pitera.
