The causes of War have generally been viewed as economic, albeit cloaked in high-minded principles such as religion, nationalism, righteousness, even a man’s ear. This thread is for discussion of War. To limit it somewhat, wars previous to the Hundred Years’ War (1337-1453) will not be discussed here.
