White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. is a Bermuda-domiciled financial services holding company. The Company's principal businesses are conducted through its subsidiaries and its affiliates in the business of property-casualty insurance and reinsurance. The company is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "WTM."

White Mountains' insurance operations include: Folksamerica Holding Company, Inc., a New York-based broker-market reinsurer; American Centennial Insurance Company, a Delaware-based runoff operation; Peninsula Insurance Company, a Maryland-based property / casualty insurer; and a 50% stake in Main Street America Holdings, Inc., a unit of National Grange Mutual Insurance Company, a New Hampshire-based property and casualty insurer.

White Mountains Insurance Group also owns a passive investment portfolio consisting mainly of common equity securities. Management's primary strategic goal is to either reinvest White Mountains' passive investments, together with other resources available to White Mountains, into operating businesses in which management has knowledge and experience (if appropriate opportunities can be found) or return excess capital to shareholders through common stock repurchases. White Mountains believes that this strategy will, over time, further enhance shareholder value.
