SIRIT Inc. TSX:SI
sirit.com
Sirit Inc. is a leading provider of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology worldwide. Harnessing the power of Sirit’s enabling-RFID technology, customers are able to more rapidly bring high quality RFID solutions to the market with reduced initial engineering costs. Sirit’s products are built on more than 13 years of RF domain expertise addressing multiple frequencies (LF/HF/UHF), multiple protocols and are compliant with global standards. Sirit’s broad portfolio of products and capabilities are easily customized to address new and traditional RFID market applications including Supply Chain & Logistics, Cashless Payment (including Electronic Tolling), Access Control, Automatic Vehicle Identification, Near Field Communications, Inventory Control & Management, Asset Tracking and Product Authentication.
Sirit is poised, IMO, to benefit from the growing interest in RFID. Their INfinity 510 reader recently won a benchmark in Europe against six competitors, and came first or second in six of the seven categories of measurement. You can get ODIN's report (for free) by requesting it at Sirit's website.
They have several lines of business. There bread and butter for the last few years has been in Automotive Vehicle Identification (AVI) arena. They have California and Colorado sewn up in this application.
They are starting to make inroads in Suppy Chain Management (SCM), the arena which perked interest when Walmart announced its plans is this area. They recently were selected by METRO Group (the Walmart of Europe) for their initial rollout in Germany.
Perhaps the most exiciting possibiltity, however, is in the Near Field Communication (NFC) field. They are partnered with both Kyocera and Benq who are close to releasing the first NFC-enabled cell phones.
We have a knowledgeable group of posters over at Stockhouse. beta.stockhouse.com Because of looming changes at Stockhouse which look somewhat ominous there is a good chance that the community will move elsewhere, most likely Trading Chief, which already has a board for Sirit: tradingchief.com. You will need to register but its a free site.
Do your DD and climb aboard!
