Hello. I have been Day-Trading for about a year now. Quite frankly, it has taken me this long just to learn computers a bit, and buy and set up all the hardware and software, and get it all running somewhat smoothly. I KNOW there are a lot of you out there with the knowledge to help shorten up this process for the beginning trader. I would like to keep this string dedicated STRICTLY to the hardware/software segment of trading. I have seen much of this type of info scattered about other threads, but would like to see it consolidate here.

I am currently running a laptop for news feeds and discussions on a 2nd phone line, and have my trading system on a 360 MHZ desktop with an ISDN line. Am about to make the leap to a 2nd monitor for my trading system, and have this question. Running WIN 98, are you better off with two separate video cards, or with one card capable of two monitor outputs. Which way works easier for drag and drop from one monitor to the other and moving windows between the two? Any suggested manufacturers and models? I know WIN 98 is capable of two monitors, but which set up seems to run the smoothest? Thanks for any replies!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope this is a useful subject for other traders too.

Chuck
