To all those who, like me, are new to investing: here is a thread to discuss our blunders, hasty decisions, fears, and all other forms of anxiety that plague the inexperienced trader.

For example, this morning I got caught up in the enthusiasm over an issue (OZON) that last week spiked to a double, and this morning gapped up at the open over 33%. Very unwisely I put in a market order, saw it exercised at 9:40, and then watched as nearly 20% of my investment vanished by about 10!

Perhaps some of you have tried different investing systems and can comment on those (I have tried Pitbull, and am now working with A.I.M.).

If only because misery loves company, I'd love to swap horror stories, learn from what you have learned (the hard way), and converse on reasonable strategies around knowing what to buy, when to sell, and by what age (I am 35) I can reasonably expect to retire in comfort with my millions from the stock market...

Of course, wisened and savvy investors are always welcome to contribute, so long as you display an appropriate amount of patience with us newbies to the trading game.

Wishing you all happy trading, TC.
