Canada will soon have its first legal Direct to Home broadcast system. Star Choice will likely be the first to launch ahead of Express Vue and Tee-Comm's Alpha Star Canada. The "Seek Preview" system has been launched by Star Choice and Star Choice is using proven equipment by EchoStar and programing from Echostar using a dual feed antenna. Canadian programing will be picked up from a Canadian Satellite. The dish size of 24 inches allows for the additional loss from the dual feed and the lower power of the Canadian satellite. It would seem Star Choice has a good growth potential.
