The 3rd video needs complete attention as does the video in post 28 (or any of Rolf's videos in particular). There will be some natural disasters occurring on a very regular basis throughout the world. The frequency will be extremely high in the coming decade. Many publicly traded companies ARE highly vulnerable based on geographic location. Other companies will benefit as their competitors begin to suffer the effects. Still other companies will find that their products or services are no longer desirable while some will find their products in extreme demand. There will be plays both ways on this but I would rather entertain the ideas for positive outcomes rather than profit off the devastation that will hit some. There will be many instances of advance signals prior to many oncoming events leaving about a week to a couple days to pre-position. Besides looking at opportunities in the markets, people need to also understand that a new script has been handed to mankind and most, if not all of the old script is going to rather quickly be rendered irrelevant. The timing of the overall process has reached the point where several critical dynamic sub-processes have been triggered and tectonic shifts will be regular events. [youtube video] [youtube video] [youtube video] At the very beginning of both these videos it appears the same thing is being said about the Sun. Total polar field strength on the sun was reduced by 50% during the minimum of the previous 11 yr solar cycle. The second video is a good confirmation of the opening statement of the first. The science is several years or more older in the 2nd though. [youtube video] "New Solar Minimum Could Change the World Economy" ktar.com "New and exciting research is telling us that the next solar minimum in sunspot cycle 25 may be the deepest minimum in more than 100 years of observation. If that is true, data showed that during solar minimum with less sunspots, solar surface flares and CMEs, there is a strong potential for a large scale cooling of the weather systems on Earth. This is contrary to many who believe that a steady increase in global temperatures are due primarily to human factors. The Sun and its output are now being looked at as the main source of future economic conditions on Earth. New research claimed that a spotless Sun during previous sunspot minima have lead to sustained periods of cold weather and crop failures around the planet. The most pronounced was the great Maunder Minimum from 1640 to 1715, in which the Earth experienced some major climactic change. There have been other deep solar minima, but not on the same scale as the Grand Minimum, as described above. They are the Dalton Minimum (1798-1823), the Gleissberg Minimum and the current Eddy Minimum In the most simplistic way, the research tells us that the less sunspot numbers on the Sun, the cooler the planet becomes. Seems I remember a snippet he said once, not from the sea but from a lower altitude.

Anyway at the risk of stirring the pot I have another question. It's Ben's thing about the earth's crust rotating 90 degrees because the poles with the ice caps are heavier than the equator. Simply put I figure since the earth at the equator has a larger diameter than the poles, that is the key to keeping things balanced so why would it tilt ... unless the diameter of the equator got smaller from the effects of the sun's micro nova. Kind of like pushing on a balloon at the center so the top and bottom gets further apart. Maybe that's to simple .. lol.

There's a lot I still don't know and I probably stirred up enough trouble for now but thanks anyway for taking my questions.

[Doug R] "Pushed"...as in up from the sea floor? "Location" = north vs south hemisphere. So Earth facing or not is not predictable. That brings odds for 2027 to <50/50.

The scientists analyzed nearly 50 years of data (1975–2025) from satellites that monitor the Sun's X-ray emissions. They discovered two key patterns:

1. They identified specific zones on the Sun where magnetic energy builds up over time, making those areas more likely to produce powerful eruptions.

2. They found a rhythmic pattern in solar activity based on two natural cycles: a 1.7-year cycle and a 7-year cycle. When these cycles line up in certain ways, the risk of superflares increases significantly.

Using advanced mathematical techniques and machine learning, the team combined these patterns to forecast high-risk time periods and locations on the Sun. For the current solar cycle (Solar Cycle 25), their model predicts two main danger windows:

• Mid-2025 through mid-2026 (focused on the Sun's southern hemisphere, between 5°S–25°S latitude)

• Early-to-mid 2027 (focused on the Sun's northern hemisphere, between 10°N–30°N latitude)

[Doug R] Another danger zone defined. 2 years...max. According to the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis, the explosions were responsible for widespread burning and the resulting smoke and soot, in addition to dust that blocked the sun, leading to an “impact winter.” Rapid melting of the ice sheets could have helped to further cool the impact zones. The shock of impact itself, followed by harsh conditions thereafter, may have contributed to the demise of the megafauna in both North and South America and the disappearance of the Clovis culture, according to the hypothesis.

For the past couple of decades, Kennett and fellow proponents of this hypothesis have been gathering evidence that increasingly supports it, including a “black mat” layer in the sediment at many sites across North America and Europe — indicative of widespread burning. Additionally, they have uncovered a growing list of impact proxies, which include unusually high concentrations of rare minerals that are common in comets, such as platinum and iridium, and mineral formations indicative of extremely high temperatures and pressures, such as nanodiamonds and metals and minerals that have melted, cooled and hardened again, including metallic spherules and meltglass.

Image

The three classic Clovis archaeological sites in the study

Thanks to advances in technology, the team is homing in on another proxy that is considered the crème de la crème of cosmic impact evidence: shocked quartz — grains of sand that exhibit deformations due to extreme heat and temperature. In samples from the three North American archaeological sites — Murray Springs, Blackwater Draw and Arlington Canyon — the researchers identified quartz grains with telltale cracks, some filled with melted silica. They used a variety of techniques, including electron microscopy and cathodoluminescence, to confirm that the quartz grains had been shocked at extremely high temperatures and pressures, far beyond what could have been accomplished by volcanism or ancient human activity.

The presence of shocked quartz is particularly important in the absence of craters — the smoking gun of cosmic impact evidence. Unlike the asteroid that killed off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago and left a crater beneath the Yucatan Peninsula, “touchdown airbursts” — cosmic collisions that occur above the Earth’s surface, such as from this proposed fragmented comet — leave little, if any, evidence on the landscape. Using hydrocode modeling, the team modeled these low-altitude, above-ground explosions and the variety of impacts that could lead to the shock patterns in the quartz grains.

“There are different levels of shocked quartz,” Kennett said. While the accepted evidence for cosmic impact leans heavily on the parallel cracks in quartz found at craters, the variety of directions, pressures and temperatures that emerge around airbursts would lead to variations in the shock patterns in the quartz, he explained. “There are going to be some very highly shocked grains and some that will be low-shocked. That’s what you would expect.”

Added to the other impact proxies found in the same layer of sediment — carbon-rich black mat, nanodiamonds, impact spherules — and found at three key archaeological sites, the discovery of these shocked quartz grains “supports a cosmic impact as a major contributing factor in the megafaunal extinctions and the collapse of the Clovis technocomplex at the Younger Dryas onset,” according to the paper.

[Doug R] WWIII kinetics..... China has embedded operational control into critical mineral extraction that feeds weapons manufacturing. Iran has established drone production facilities within strike range of the continental United States. Russia has deployed military advisers and integrated air defense systems in the Caribbean. Venezuela represents the only location where all three adversaries operate simultaneously. The oil is secondary. Breaking Chinese supply chain dominance, eliminating Iranian manufacturing capability, and expelling Russian military presence are primary.

The Pentagon’s Critical Minerals Crisis

The Department of War has allocated $7.5 billion under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act specifically for critical minerals, with $1 billion already deployed to stockpile antimony, bismuth, cobalt, indium, scandium, and tantalum. This is not economic policy. This is national security infrastructure. The United States is 100% import reliant for 12 critical minerals and over 50% reliant for 28 of the 50 minerals classified as essential to national security. These materials are not interchangeable. They cannot be substituted. They form the irreducible foundation of modern weapons systems."

[Doug R] The mysteries that remain. Recent changes to the field open questions as to how the field will to change in the future, and the impact this will have on the Earth system.

Notably, during the historical period when humans have made direct measurements of the field, the geomagnetic field strength has decreased and the rate of North Magnetic Pole movement has accelerated. This project will study geologic archives of geomagnetic change from 10,000 to 7,000 years ago, an era that may have been similar to modern geomagnetic field changes. Specifically, the project strengthens international collaborations to synthesize new and existing reconstructions of direction and intensity changes from Arctic Ocean and lake sediment cores that create a broad longitudinal transect including Northern Alaska, Arctic Canada, Northern Greenland, and Northern Europe. This project will target 22 core samples that meet strict quality requirements and are available to the US research community in NSF supported repositories but have not previously been investigated for geomagnetic reconstructions. Two graduate students will learn methods that will have broad applications to their future careers in geophysical, data analysis, and earth science fields.

This project will establish an early to mid-Holocene paleomagnetic transect across the Arctic to test a fundamental, yet somewhat counter intuitive, hypothesis about the nature of the geomagnetic field. The hypothesis, “the decrease in geomagnetic dipole moment observed in the last two centuries represents a transition to a more stable, more geocentric axial dipole like field that could persist for millennia”, is informed by 1) Holocene dipole moment reconstructions, 2) longer-term (100 thousand year) dipole moment reconstructions, 3) reconstructions of global field morphology that demonstrate that high intensities of the late Holocene are associated with a more dynamic field than the more average intensities of the early Holocene, and 4) disagreement between modeling efforts for the early Holocene that stems from limited data coverage. While previous work often discusses two states of the geomagnetic field—one that is strong and stable and one that is week (sic) and unstable—this hypothesis suggests that the field may be better described by three states with the greatest stability at intermediate dipole moments. The research team identifies archives for which strong independent radiocarbon chronologies already exist (or can be developed), extend to the early Holocene, and have very high accumulation rates (minimally >50 cm/kyr; ideally >100 cm/kyr). Reproducibility is at the heart of this work and is a critical test of reliability. Expected products will include new full-Holocene, full-vector paleomagnetic reconstructions from three Arctic regions (the Beaufort Sea, Northern Greenland, and the Northern North Atlantic) that will be among the highest quality and highest resolution reconstructions available. When combined with previously published data, this paleomagnetic transect will enable exploration of geomagnetic variations at the right time interval needed to assess this hypothesis. This project will support the education of two graduate students, support an international collaboration, and lead to the development of outreach materials on the Earth’s magnetic field.

[Doug R] It looks very much like the technocracy will not be affected by global "grid dow...

It looks very much like the technocracy will not be affected by global "grid down" due to their access to more exotic modes of power generation and transmission inaccessible to the rest of us.
[X]

Practically no one understands how significant this move is.

The USG solved fusion decades ago and a couple companies know the sauce.

This is one of them. https://t.co/MpnEYRiqpn
— Ashton Forbes (@AshtonForbes) December 18, 2025
