The thread exist to exchange and discuss conservative ideas/practices. This thread does not exist for liberals to come in solely for the purpose of trying to stir the pot. Polite debate may be tolerated for a period, but as you and I both are aware, there is little success in trying to change the other side's mind. Bans aren't automatic though as on some threads. I ask that post be civil to the posters, attacks from regular members to other members will be met with temporary bans. If you wish to practice ad hominem attacks, there are plenty of threads on SI for that. This isn't one of them. As they degrade, they risk shedding their oily gearbox fluids, hydraulic liquids, and synthetic lubricants into the soil.

No one wants to deal with these massive concrete and steel monoliths later. Concrete may be mostly inert, but over the decades, these blocks can disrupt deep-soil hydrology and remain as permanent industrial junk below the surface of rural landscapes.

The concrete base of a typical early 2-3 MW wind turbine weighs 400 to 800 tonnes. But the foundations of later, even bigger turbines (5 MW+) can exceed 1,000 tonnes.

In many jurisdictions, decommissioning regulations only require the operator to clear the foundation to a depth of 1 meter below the surface. While contracts state operators are responsible, the financial reality is complex.

Bank guarantees or bonds set aside for removal (around $100,000 per turbine) are woefully inadequate. Real-world estimates for total removal and site restoration can exceed $200,000 to $400,000 per unit.

If the cost of total removal vastly exceeds the bond, there is a strong incentive for shell companies to declare bankruptcy — leaving landowners to foot the bill.

We are already seeing this play out at Victoria's Codrington wind farm. Operators announced plans to remove only the top 1.5-meter pedestal, leaving the bulk of the project's 20,000 tonnes of subterranean foundations permanently buried.

This triggered an intense backlash from local communities and MPs who argue it violates the original promise to restore the land.

It leaves a disturbing legacy.

[X]

Almost all the reinforced concrete foundations of wind turbines ever built — weighing up to a thousand tonnes each — could be left to rot in the ground.

The number of turbines reaching the end of their working lives will soon surpass tens of thousands. The past weeks have seen each side hurl warnings and threats to pull out, while attaching conditions that must be fulfilled.

But after what is now a full week of renewed fighting, it has been effectively torn up, with negotiations no longer happening. Al Jazeera is citing a top Iran official's precise statement on suspending the MoU in the following:

Previously, we have seen again and again Iranian officials accusing the US of violating the MoU and also putting some conditions if the aggression continues.

What we’re seeing is Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, who is also head of the Iranian technical negotiating team, saying that in practice, the US has violated all the commitments and suspended the MoU entirely.

“We also likewise have suspended all of our commitments as a result; we are no longer implementing those commitments,” he added.

So, officially, this is the first time the Iranians are saying the MoU is over and they’re not going to implement any clause.

Given President Trump has apparently just ordered dozens more aerial refueling planes to the region, the conflict looks to continue going up the escalation ladder for at least the next week or longer. Each side will seek to impose more economic and military pain, while waiting for the other to blink. Battle of narratives over damage and retaliation:

Saudi Base Attacked for First Time in 4 Months Saudi Arabia has come under attack by Iranian missiles in the last 24 hours, the kingdom is confirming on Saturday, in a major escalation given that this is a first since near the start of the war several months ago. According to Reuters:

The Saudi civil defense early on Saturday issued two early warnings for Al-Kharj city and Yanbu to be alert to “potential danger,” but it later says the danger has passed in both areas, without providing details on the danger that triggered the warnings.

A US official tells the Axios news site that Iran targeted an American military base in Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, the first time that the Islamic Republic has directly attacked the kingdom in four months.

Locations in Jordan and even Syria have also been hit in recent salvos, but the US military has downplayed these attacks - and there's a battle of narratives over just how destructive these have been amid the fog of war.

Kuwait also reeling from stepped-up attacks...

116 Telecoms Towers In Southern Iran Taken Out As we featured earlier, Iranian communications and even the supply of drinking water have been severely impacted in some places of southern Iran, amid continuing US airstrikes on civic and national infrastructure, amid the seventh consecutive day of war. "Hormozgan’s chief of communications and information technology says the US's overnight attacks disrupted telecommunications in Bandar Abbas and Hajiabad, in the northern part of the province," Al Jazeera reports

Authorities there have tallied at least 116 telecommunication towers which were taken out of service due to the US onslaught. This has resulted in outages and disruptions of fixed-line, mobile, and internet services, per Tasnim news agency.

This suggests the US is returning to a strategy which seeks to create destabilization within, targeting the ability of the public to communicate and access information, returning the situation to the early weeks of the war, which saw Tehran authorities themselves curb internet and some telecoms access for the citizenry.

Kuwait Power & Desalination Plant Hit Kuwait was bombarded overnight in one of the fiercest Iranian retaliatory strikes since the US-Iran conflict erupted in late February, with missiles and one-way drones targeting power infrastructure and other critical energy assets.

Local outlet Kuwait News Agency reports an unspecified site of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation suffered "significant material losses" as the week-long flare-up in Gulf tensions has derailed any near-term normalization of tanker flows through the Strait of Hormuz.

There was a report that the Al-Subiya power station was struck. The release followed President Trump’s heated nationally televised address Thursday night, where he argued that China systematically acquired sensitive voter information during the 2020 election cycle and that intelligence surrounding the operation was buried inside the bureaucracy rather than presented honestly to elected leadership.

For years, the focus has been on Russia while China quietly expanded its economic, technological, and intelligence footprint throughout the West. China does not think in election cycles. It thinks in decades as the ancient culture understands cycles. Every major strategic objective is pursued patiently through economic leverage, technology, data collection, academia, corporations, and political influence. Elections become merely another avenue for intelligence gathering and long-term strategic positioning.

According to the newly released material highlighted by the White House, Chinese actors allegedly obtained information on roughly 220 million American voter records. The administration claims the information included voter registration data, addresses, party affiliation, and other identifying information that could be used to map voting populations across the United States. President Trump described it as “the largest compromise of election data in history” and ordered further investigations into both the alleged intrusion and the government’s handling of the intelligence.

The administration further alleges that portions of this intelligence never reached the President in full during the 2020 election cycle and that internal disputes inside the intelligence community resulted in information being minimized or withheld. Those claims are now at the center of renewed investigations following the release of the declassified files.

Whether every allegation ultimately withstands scrutiny is now the question investigators must answer. It is important to distinguish between allegations contained in newly released documents and conclusions that have been independently established. Previous U.S. intelligence assessments issued after the 2020 election concluded they did not find evidence that China successfully altered votes or election infrastructure, although there has long been bipartisan concern over Chinese cyber activity and influence operations. Those earlier conclusions are directly challenged by the current administration’s interpretation of the newly declassified material.

That distinction should not cause anyone to dismiss the broader strategic issue. China has spent decades collecting enormous quantities of American information through cyber intrusions, intellectual property theft, social media platforms, telecommunications equipment, academic partnerships, and commercial acquisitions. Election databases would simply represent another valuable intelligence asset. Data itself has become one of the most valuable commodities in modern geopolitical warfare.

What concerns me is not merely who may have obtained voter information. It is how dependent Western governments have become upon digital infrastructure that was never designed with national security as the first priority. Every database becomes another target. Every connected system becomes another avenue for foreign intelligence services. We have built societies where governments, corporations, financial institutions, and election officials increasingly rely upon centralized digital records while assuming those systems remain secure. That assumption has repeatedly proven false.

The computer has consistently shown that confidence is always the foundation of government. Once public confidence in institutions begins to crack, the damage extends far beyond a single election. Markets depend upon confidence. Governments depend upon confidence. Currencies depend upon confidence. Election systems are no different. Regardless of where these investigations ultimately lead, confidence cannot be restored through secrecy. If foreign governments penetrated American election-related databases, the public deserves complete transparency. If they did not, the evidence should be equally transparent. Suppressing information only guarantees that confidence continues to erode.

China understands something many Western politicians still fail to grasp. Modern warfare is no longer confined to missiles and tanks. Information, data, artificial intelligence, cyber operations, financial leverage, and political influence have become the new battlefield. Nations that fail to recognize that reality will discover they have already lost long before the first conventional shot is fired.

[IC720] [X]

The NDAA is typically passed on a bipartisan basis each year. Not this time. This is typical Schummer.

Moreover, there is publicly documented meetings between Senator Chuck Schumer and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Schumer has regularly participated in official delegations, leadership briefings, and diplomatic events where Israeli leaders are typically present. I have been unable to confirm a private sit-down meeting this year, the two have been mentioned in the same context recently. Prime Minister Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress in July 2024 was notably boycotted by Senator Schumer for public a show ONLY, where he tried to pretend opposition to Netanyahu’s actions in Gaza.

Nonetheless, it is expected that Senator Schumer will be part of a bipartisan congressional delegation traveling to Israel for in-person meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu and other leaders. Additionally, he has participated in calls with Israeli President Isaac Herzog alongside other senators. Schummer has supported the “ironclad” relationship between US and Israel. It has been suggested that Netanyahu knows that frustrating Trump could lead to a Democratic victory as long as he prevents any honorable peace deal before November. We cannot confirm such a conspiracy. We can only judge by the words and deeds. armstrongeconomics.com

[J.B.C.] The mainstream media’s defense today is creating a contradiction that deserves s...

The mainstream media’s defense today is creating a contradiction that deserves scrutiny.

Their argument is essentially this:

“China having access to over 200 million U.S. voter records isn’t a big deal because much of that information is already available from state voter databases.”

Fine. He argues that the United States has undergone a dramatic turnaround from what he describes as an inherited economic and social crisis characterized by high inflation, uncontrolled illegal immigration, rising crime, and declining international prestige. According to Trump, the nation is now experiencing renewed prosperity, stronger economic performance, increased foreign investment, lower inflation, record-breaking financial markets, and historically high employment. He also highlights several domestic policy achievements, including tax initiatives such as eliminating taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security benefits, incentives for purchasing American-made vehicles, prescription drug pricing reforms, and the creation of "Trump Accounts," tax-advantaged investment accounts intended to help American children accumulate long-term wealth.

Trump next turns to immigration and public safety, claiming that the southern border has become the most secure in American history. He asserts that illegal immigration has effectively been halted, that crime has fallen nationwide, and that the murder rate has reached historic lows. He also emphasizes continued military investment, describing the U.S. armed forces as the strongest in the world. Brief references are made to foreign policy, including cooperation with Venezuela on oil production and what he characterizes as favorable developments involving Iran, though he provides few specifics before transitioning to what he identifies as the central purpose of the speech.

The primary focus of the address is election security. Trump argues that public trust in elections is indispensable to maintaining confidence in government and national unity. He announces the immediate declassification of intelligence documents that he says expose serious vulnerabilities in America's election infrastructure. According to Trump, the objective of releasing these materials is not to undermine confidence in elections but to strengthen it through transparency, public awareness, and corrective action.

Trump organizes the newly released material into five principal areas.

The first concerns alleged Chinese cyber operations targeting American voter data. Trump states that intelligence indicates the People's Republic of China conducted what he describes as one of the largest compromises of election-related data in history beginning around the 2020 election cycle. According to his description, Chinese actors allegedly acquired approximately 220 million U.S. voter records containing names, addresses, telephone numbers, political affiliations, and other registration information. He argues that this information could be used to facilitate election interference and claims Chinese intelligence established specialized units dedicated to exploiting the stolen data.

Trump further alleges that senior officials within portions of the U.S. intelligence community deliberately suppressed information regarding the Chinese operation. According to his account, intelligence agencies became aware that voter registration information from numerous states had been compromised, yet failed to inform either the President or Congress. He contends that officials instead publicly emphasized that the 2020 election was secure while internally possessing information suggesting significant vulnerabilities.

The speech then expands beyond cyber intrusions into broader allegations regarding Chinese influence efforts. Trump cites intelligence reports dating back to 2018 and 2019 that he says describe a Chinese government strategy aimed at weakening his presidency, influencing American public opinion, encouraging opposition among business leaders, and cultivating favorable media coverage through financial incentives. He argues these activities formed part of a comprehensive campaign to undermine his administration politically.

Trump next discusses intelligence that he says was obtained by the FBI in 2020 alleging Chinese involvement in efforts to manufacture illegal ballots benefiting Joe Biden. He claims this intelligence was never presented in his daily presidential briefings because officials intentionally removed or minimized such reporting. He references internal communications that he says reveal analysts deliberately withheld information about Chinese election activities. Trump also alleges that one FBI official referred internally to operating a "shadow government" designed to prevent politically sensitive intelligence from reaching senior leadership or the public.

The President then references recently discovered "burn bags," explaining that these bags reportedly contained government documents that had been scheduled for destruction during the Obama administration but instead remained intact due to what he characterizes as bureaucratic incompetence. He states that the recovered materials have produced significant findings and announces that he has directed the Department of Justice, FBI, CIA, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to investigate why information was withheld and whether criminal charges are warranted.

The third category of declassified material concerns election technology itself. Trump argues that electronic voting machines, centralized voter registration databases, ballot-counting systems, and related election infrastructure have long been recognized within the intelligence community as vulnerable to cyber compromise. He states that classified assessments identified Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, and non-state actors as possessing the capability to penetrate or manipulate election systems. Trump says these assessments demonstrate that government officials were aware of these vulnerabilities for years while publicly assuring Americans that election systems were secure.

He further references intelligence describing cyber methods that allegedly could digitally alter vote totals in ways that would evade traditional audits. Trump argues that these findings underscore the necessity of replacing or significantly reforming existing election technology to eliminate opportunities for manipulation.

The fourth section of the address focuses on alleged domestic election fraud investigations. Trump describes an investigation in Michigan in which state police reportedly executed search warrants involving a voter registration organization. According to his description, investigators obtained admissions from canvassers who allegedly signed voter registration forms using false identities, submitted fraudulent registrations, and received financial incentives based on the number of applications collected. Trump states that FBI investigators believed crimes had occurred but that the Biden Justice Department terminated the investigation before prosecution. He directs the current FBI Director to reopen and fully investigate the matter.

Trump also discusses findings from a Department of Homeland Security review that he says identified thousands of noncitizens registered to vote in federal elections. He argues that because some states declined to share voter registration data, the actual number may be significantly larger. He contends that outdated voter rolls containing noncitizens and deceased individuals represent additional vulnerabilities that undermine election integrity.

Throughout the speech, Trump criticizes existing election administration practices, particularly extended ballot-counting periods and widespread mail-in voting. He cites California's lengthy vote-counting process as evidence that election administration has become inefficient and susceptible to public distrust. He argues that large-scale mail voting creates opportunities for fraud and should be significantly restricted.

Trump also sharply criticizes major news organizations, specifically mentioning NBC and ABC, after stating that they declined to broadcast the address. He accuses portions of the media of deliberately minimizing election security concerns and participating in efforts to conceal vulnerabilities from the American public. He argues that media organizations have failed in their responsibility to provide objective reporting on matters of national importance.

The President concludes by outlining several actions his administration intends to pursue immediately. He states that affected states will be notified if their voter registration data was compromised, and that DHS will brief state officials regarding cyber vulnerabilities affecting election infrastructure. Federal agencies, he says, will work with states to improve cybersecurity protections before upcoming elections. DHS will also notify states regarding individuals identified as noncitizens on voter rolls so that appropriate eligibility reviews can occur.

Finally, Trump urges Congress to pass the SAVE America Act, which he presents as the legislative solution to many of the vulnerabilities described during the speech. As summarized by Trump, the proposal would require photo identification for voting, documentary proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration, restrictions on mail-in voting except for specified circumstances such as military service, disability, illness, or travel, and measures intended to improve the accuracy of voter registration rolls. He calls on Americans to contact their elected representatives and encourage passage of the legislation, arguing that restoring confidence in elections is essential to preserving democratic institutions and strengthening national unity.

The address closes with an appeal for bipartisan support for election integrity reforms, a call for national unity around free and fair elections, expressions of support for the U.S. military, and the traditional closing, "God Bless America."

###

Summary in 30 Bullet Points

President Trump opens by asserting that the United States is stronger, safer, and wealthier than when his administration took office.

He characterizes the prior administration as leaving behind severe inflation, an unsecured southern border, rising crime, and declining international respect.

He states that inflation has experienced its largest monthly decline in more than six years.

He highlights tax initiatives including no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security benefits, along with tax incentives for purchasing American-made vehicles.

He says stock markets and retirement accounts have reached record highs.

He claims his prescription drug pricing policies have reduced drug costs and lowered healthcare expenses.

He promotes “Trump Accounts,” describing them as tax-advantaged investment accounts intended to help children build long-term savings.

He states that America’s borders have become the most secure in U.S. history.

He claims zero illegal immigrants have been admitted into the United States during the previous 14 months.

He says national crime rates, including the murder rate, have fallen significantly.

He emphasizes continued investment in the U.S. military, describing it as the world’s strongest armed force.

He references energy cooperation with Venezuela and says positive developments regarding Iran will become apparent soon.

He argues that trustworthy elections are essential to maintaining public confidence in government.

The central announcement of the speech is the immediate declassification of intelligence documents concerning election security.

He says the purpose of releasing the documents is to increase transparency by exposing and addressing vulnerabilities.

Trump alleges the documents show that China conducted a massive operation to obtain U.S. voter registration data beginning around the 2020 election cycle.

According to his remarks, the compromised data allegedly included voter names, addresses, phone numbers, party affiliations, and other registration information.

He claims intelligence agencies knew about the alleged compromise but withheld the information from both the President and Congress.

He further alleges that intelligence officials deliberately minimized or suppressed reporting regarding Chinese election-related activities.

Trump says additional intelligence indicates China sought to influence U.S. politics through media, business leaders, and public opinion campaigns.

He alleges the FBI received intelligence in 2020 concerning efforts related to manufacturing illegal ballots for Joe Biden but says the information was buried by officials.

He claims internal communications show presidential intelligence briefings omitted significant information regarding Chinese election interference.

Trump references recently discovered “burn bags,” suggesting they contained government records that were supposed to have been destroyed but instead were recovered.

He announces that the Department of Justice, FBI, CIA, and Director of National Intelligence have been directed to investigate why intelligence was allegedly withheld and to pursue criminal charges where appropriate.

Trump argues electronic voting machines, centralized voter databases, and ballot-counting systems are vulnerable to cyberattacks by foreign governments and non-state actors.

He cites newly released intelligence spanning 2022–2026 that he says documents cyber vulnerabilities affecting U.S. election infrastructure.

He discusses alleged election fraud investigations, including a Michigan voter registration case, asserting that evidence was not fully pursued by the prior Justice Department.

He says DHS reviews identified noncitizens registered to vote and contends that outdated voter rolls contribute to election vulnerabilities.

Trump criticizes lengthy ballot-counting processes, particularly citing California, and argues that major media organizations have avoided covering election security issues.

He concludes by urging Congress to pass the SAVE America Act, which he says would require photo voter identification, proof of U.S. citizenship for federal voter registration, restrict most mail-in voting to specified exceptions, require states to remove ineligible voters from registration rolls, and strengthen election security measures.

Election Integrity Documents

The recently declassified documents from President Trump’s July 16, 2026 address are available here on the official White Trump knows this and only did this because his ducks are all lined up in a row.”

***

Watching Trump saying the name Barrack Hussein Obama was an absolute eye opener. Trump did what we were told he would. Expose the voter fraud, all for the world to see only not everyone was able to see if the were watching the major networks.

Trump labeled them fake news for a reason. Imagine a National speech and NBC and ABC refused to broadcast the President of the United States. It wasn’t because of their hatred for Trump, it was because Trump came in and laid out all the voter fraud with all the receipts in hand.

They refused to broadcast the truth. They refused to let Trump prove Joe Biden was handed the Oval Office due to a rigged election. They refused to let Trump show the world it was their friends in China who was a major factor in the steal. Never has any major news networks refused to show a National speech in our history.

This was a National Intelligence speech about election fraud, ABC, NBC refused to air it with CBS cutting away about half way through. Not only is Trump right that they are enemies of the people but he proved they were in on the entire scam from the beginning. The sold us on Russia, Russia, Russia but it was their heavily sponsored darlings from China. Even FOX, right after the speech said they couldn’t verify anything Trump had laid out

Catherine Herridge said newly released documents show intelligence officials knew about China’s interfering and did nothing. That means they were all in on the steal. The CIA, NSA, and the FBI all knew of the fraud and all stood down. This is a blueprint of how 3rd world countries run their elections. He even exposed the rigged machines and even laid out how Maduro won his election by rigging the machines.

Yes, we always knew the election was rigged. It was impossible for a man who couldn’t string together two coherent sentences win an election with the most votes in history. But what Trump did was undeniable. He brought it all and called everyone out who was involved. Talk about a man with brass balls? He ordered criminal investigations! Even against Obama or anyone else involved!

Trump ordered a hit on all of them on National TV. This has never been done in our history. Trump promised to drain the Swamp and I think his message was clear. He’s coming. Trump is coming. While I won’t lie because it just isn’t me, I was expecting something different, but after watching and analyzing, there is no doubt in my mind accountability is coming! Arrests are coming! This was the opening act. Dems were caught, 3 letter agencies were caught, China was caught and the rigged fucking media was caught.

Trump’s words convinced me this time is different. He didn’t do what he did last night just to tell us about election fraud. He did this to tell us he’s coming and they all know it. Forget about the naysayers, the Trump haters and the clickbait propagandists. This is real, in real time and just sit tight. The hammer is coming because if it doesn’t, we lose it all with our credibility thrown out the window. Trump knows this and only did this because his ducks are all lined up in a row. Now it’s time. Time for the ultimate prize. The takedown! Let the games begin! It is definitely a great time to be alive! I voted exactly for this. @POTUS @DonaldTrump Mr President, please don’t disappoint. We are with you and have your back till the end. Make it Rain!! As for courage? There isn’t another person who would’ve did what Trump has done. He made the bullseye on his back that much larger. And Trump is OK with that because all he cares about is this country winning. That’s his maximum just as it was for Lincoln. While the media claims the world has turned against him, the fact is he and America are on the top of the world, looking down on creation.

His Shield of the Americas group (officially known as Americas Counter Cartel Coalition) designed to battle drug cartels now has 17 members: the United States, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guyana, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago.

Colombia elected a new president who says he’ll join. Trump likely will pressure Venezuela to join.

In recent decades, the banana republics became drug cartel republics. Bukele’s election changed that by putting the soldiers of the drug cartels in prison—a very hard and harsh prison worthy of their terrorism. Other countries are following and we are giving him some of our trash that Biden brought in.

Trump taking out Maduro sent a strong message to the world and the Western Hemisphere. (If, as I believe he is doing, Maduro starts singing that will explain the presence of 32 Cuban guards protecting him; they were prison guards, not bodyguards.)

The Donroe Doctrine means Latin America will stop abusing the United States and that extends to Red China. In January, the Panama Supreme Court ruled that Red China’s control of the Panama Canal was unconstitutional. The USA does not control it (thanks a pantsload, Jimmy Carter) but now neither does the Chinese Communist Party.

As for Carter, sure our lease would have been up in 2006 but certainly Clinton or Bush could have gotten an extension.

Trump has changed the world’s attitude toward the USA—for the better.

Don’t take my word for it. Victor Davis Hanson said:

The world that we’re looking at today is radically different than that of just five years ago, radically different in the sense that it is much more in the interest of the United States. And I know that seems controversial because Trump is written off as someone who is too fluid and volatile.

His tweets, his verbiage, can put people off, but that’s the art-of-the-deal unpredictability of his nature. Some of it can be a drawback, some of it an advantage, but overall, it doesn’t help analysis to just look at what he says. It’s more important to see what he’s done.

I’m not a professor so I will just say action speaks louder than words.

What about Canada and Europe, you may ask.

Both are a mess.

If we adopted Canada as our 51st state, it would rank 50th in GDP per capita behind West Virginia. We would have to update the saying to, “Thank God for Mississippi and Canada.”

Basically, Canada is a mooch with most Canadians living along the American border. Their vaunted universal health care now includes killing patients in the name of medically assisted suicide. Its acronym is MAiD in Canadianese.

5% of the deaths in Canada are courtesy of MAiD. Killing people with severe depression is humane but executing murderers is barbarian.

The average wait to see a cardiologist is 18 days in the USA and 18 weeks (126 days) in Canada.

Oops. That 18 weeks is in the UK. Canada’s average wait is 28 weeks. 196 days? May as well make the wait until Canada wins another Stanley Cup.

The wait for MAiD is zero for people except the mentally ill. They have to wait 8 months.

As for Europe, VDH said, “Five years ago, Europe had been jawboned by Donald Trump in his first term to at least spend 2% [on defense]. Only six nations did so. He jawboned them, he threatened them. Six [more] nations did so.

“Now, almost 30 of 32 nations have agreed to spend 2% of GDP. But more importantly, they have now all agreed to spend 5%.”

Canada and Spain are the NATO holdouts.

What about Red China, you may ask.

Well, it is sitting on a $1.2 trillion annual trade surplus so it is doing all right. We narrowed our trade deficit considerably last year but the rest of the world is hooked on cheap labor.

But boy is Red China taking it in the cheeks when it comes to oil. Last year, it imported 11.6 million barrels per day. It paid $73 to $89 a barrel.

This year imports are down to 11.1 million BPD at $96 to $116 per barrel.

Iran, Iraq and Venezuela supplied 17% to 19% of the oil Red China used last year. Trump now controls two of them and Iraq’s new prime minister dropped by the White House to discuss having American companies invest in Iraq’s oil.

Why not just have Russia make up the difference, you may ask.

The answer is because Chairman Xi is dealing with Russia, which is not the most efficient oil producer in the world. More importantly, its pipelines and freight railways to Red China are maxxed out.

Ontop of that, its production has fallen by 30% as Ukrainian drones take out its refineries.

So while some complain that the Strait of Hormuz problems help Russia by raising prices (and shame on Europe for becoming dependent on Russia), the situation is hurting Red China.

Actually, the U.S. military is taking care of the problem.

VDH pointed out that the CCP’s Belt and Road plan to turn Latin America into a dependent has failed as voters elect more Trump friendly leaders. He also pointed out Operation Absolute Resolve and Operation Epic Fury proved the worthlessness of Red China’s and Russia’s air defenses, which does not bode well for an invasion of Taiwan.

Hanson also picked up on something I have mentioned since Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia in 2017 (back when I was blogging). Trump brought the Arabs and Israel together. Both bombed Iran this time! Israel is selling the Arabs air defense systems.

VDH said:

Did anybody ever believe that Israel would be supplying missile defense to Arab countries in the Gulf?

Did any person ever believe that the supposedly indomitable, scary, terrifying, formidable Iran—93 million people with an unpredictable theocratic terrorist regime that had killed more Americans through terrorism than anyone since 9/11—would be dealt with and that its military, nuclear, and industrial complex would be neutered?

And that’s where it is today. After it broke many of its protocols, I think we now are seeing the correct U.S. policy. What Trump is going to do is, the first time they continue to hit us, he hits them back disproportionately—10 times more damage on them than they inflict.

The time is running out for them.

Kissinger said, “Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac.”

America is flexing and using its power.

Yep, Trump is on top of the world, but I caution readers that the gangster movie White Heat ended with Jimmy Cagney saying, “Made it, ma! Top of the world.”

Then they gunned him down.

But I prefer the optimism of The Carpenters who were on top of the world, looking down on creation.

Praise the Lord.

Donald Trump certainly has.

[J.B.C.] Fine. Trump’s family remembers. Everyone in Trumps camp remembers. The world remembers. Most importantly Trump remembers.

And now? Now it’s our turn. They have no idea the storm they are about to encounter. All roads lead to the the Kenyan.

Tonight is a big night that I hope lives up to the hype. Tonight President Trump will bring the receipts for all the election fraud in Georgia. There was a reason Tulsi went along when they raided the offices in Georgia making sure they got all the key evidence. They got it all and supposedly have the proof Warnock and Ossoff won rigged elections. What happens then? Does Herschel Walker and David Perdue get sworn in? They say big names will be exposed and arrested this month. This could be the beginning of the accountability we desperately crave. We desperately need to show our Justice system is up and running. This will prove no one is above the law.

This will signal the return of our Justice system. Then we will witness the return of the Truth the Whole Truth and nothing but the Truth. None of their distractions will matter because this will be the beginning of the biggest takedown in American history. It’s going to be glorious! Let the games begin. No one will ever fuck with OUR America again. No one. Tonight is a big night, let’s hope and pray it doesn’t disappoint. In God We Trust. In Trump We Persevere. By the end of these 4 years you will not only see the changing of the guard, you will see the overwhelming majority of the country fully embracing Donald Trump.

You’ll call me crazy, you’ll be asking if I lost my mind. My response? Quite the contrary.

You see Donald Trump has two purposes. One-To deliver his America First agenda, and to keep us safe which he is doing by ending the murderous regime in Iran. He’s brought in trillions of dollars in investments to our country which guarantees an insurmountable number of robust jobs back to America. He’s revitalized our military and shown the world firsthand what American might is all about with his historic entry into Iran & Venezuela

His second purpose is to not only restore our Justice System but to bring those down who are responsible for tearing it apart. All the corruption, all the freebies, all money allocated for bullshit is done. Trump is exposing filth in real time and the corrupt media will be left with two choices. Report the truth or sign off the air forever.

As Trumps term reaches the midway point, I feel Trump will gain the confidence of the majority of the country from both parties. They’ll be no no denying his accomplishments or what he’s done for this country

Why do you think he fought so hard for this jerkoff Powell to lower interest rates? He knows that will be the fuse, once lit it will stimulate our economy better than his monumental first term.

I truly believe once the Democrats and the dirty Republicans are all exposed hopefully leading to many arrests and indictments, the media who are paid to protect the evil will have no choice but to cover everything Trump in a positive fashion being forced to report the truth.

Call it a pipe dream, call it whatever you like but the house of cards will be crumbling and that is when the Democrat party along with the rigged media will be put to sleep.

It all starts and ends with Trump delivering what he’s promised to the American people. A great economy. Once interest rates come down, illegals are removed, the floodgates for American jobs will be open for business for all Americans of all colors. We are MAGA. We don’t discriminate. We are for all Americans thriving. We are about loyalty. We are for love thy neighbor and it all starts with your faith in God.

That power of faith and Trump delivering for the American people is a recipe that spells success. It reminds us all about what America was and will be once again.

There is a reason Trump was spared from that bullet fatally ending him. Call it Divine Intervention. Call it what you like but with all the shots the Trump haters have taken at him he still stands tall delivering for the American people. Something is protecting Trump and it is much more than luck. The American people are starting to open their eyes.

Our biggest fight is within. We must get our house in order. It starts by ridding those who are against everything we stand for. It starts by clearing house and getting rid of the do nothing RINOs, especially Thune. Accountability must be at the forefront

Forget what the media says. Trump is loved across the world. They line up just to get a glimpse of his passing car. That is love. That is respect. They all believe in this man. We the People all believe in this man. Trump is the chosen one. As time passes the doubters will realize everything the Dems and media sold them was nothing but bullshit. The grifters fucked up by abandoning him, now they are done

They will realize Trump is here to help all Americans not destroy them. It will be at that time the love for Trump will finally catch on. Then our restoration of our America will be complete. Believe in the power of God. Believe in the power of Trump. Don’t be surprised when the people of this great country call for another 4 years. That’s how special this man is. That’s the power he brings. God Bless. My two cents

[X]

Once everyone is exposed. Once the dying media is finally put to rest. There are like the pundits here who claim Texas will turn blue or New York will turn red.

For 70 million Iranians under 50, this is the only system they’ve known. For those under 40, Khamenei was the only Supreme Leader they ever had. They felt his death.

Some real Americans saw the funeral as an opportunity to kill the enemy. They believed Trump was showing weakness.

Doing the decent thing was good PR and excellent strategy. Trump knew Iran would take this as a signal to start throwing bombs at the Strait of Hormuz and our Arab allies in the Middle East.

Big mistake as our rockets red glare, mullahs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our military was still there.

That Memorandum of Understanding Iran agreed to a month ago allowed Trump to retaliate and he has and he will continue doing so. Those who said Iran would reload under the MOU overlooked that we were reloading as well.

How wrong his critics were about the MOU were. Michael Rubin of the American Enterprise Institute wrote, “Trump’s chief accomplishment, unfortunately, has been to make Neville Chamberlain look like Winston Churchill.”

Jonah Goldberg wrote, “The three objectives he cited: ‘ending the current conflict,’ ‘reopening the Strait of Hormuz,’ and ‘preventing Iran from ever obtaining a nuclear weapon.’ So by his own accounting a goal of the war he started was to end the war he started. Another was to open a waterway that was open until he started it. And to prevent Iran from ever getting a nuclear weapon, which he has not done.”

David Frum—who once called Iran part of an Axis of Evil—said, “The United States lost the war. It’s now struck a very disadvantageous peace. The interim agreement is bad enough because it gives Iran all.”

All of what? A taste of all our types of bombs and missiles as well as practice for our pilots?

Yes, we lost our navy, our air force and our air defense. Oh wait. That was Iran, the clear victor. Ri-i-i-i-ight.

What part of Never Bet Against Donald Trump do these geniuses not understand?

Plenty. Mike Pence, still ticked for being kept off the 2024 ticket, said of the MOU, “It smacks of appeasement.”

Bill Cassidy, fresh from being primaried by MAGA, said, “Before the war, the strait was open, Iran was being crushed by sanctions, and 13 service members were still alive. Now, 13 Americans are dead, families have paid billions at the pump, sanctions will be lifted, and the bombing has stopped. This is the worst foreign policy blunder in decades.”

I guess the 13 service members who died in FJB’s actual surrender of Afghanistan and the loss of billions in military equipment were a success in the mind of Hop Along To Get Along Cassidy.

Yes, the Memorandum of Understanding said Iran could get this or that—Trump never ever offered $300 billion in U.S. aid to the (pick your profanity) Muslims—but those incentives were possible only if Iran behaved itself.

Iranians could no more behave themselves than dogs can stop sniffing each other’s butts. Why not because everyone not on the first row on those prayer rugs bends to the row ahead of them. Five times a day. I wonder if they rotate that front row.

The IRGC, which runs Iran, suffers the same delusion too many world leaders do. They keep believing they can outlast President Trump because he will leave office in January 2029. They bet that a Democrat will replace him and it will be the third Obama presidency with its usual mix of Marxism, anti-Semitism and looting of the treasury.

They refuse to recognize that Democrats have no candidate—not even dimwitted and senile FJB. The best they can do is Kamala. Maybe they will go with a more feminine version—Ro Khanna.

Back to the forecasters of failure.

Mark Dubowitz of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies—superhawks—said, “The actual MOU is deeply flawed. The administration needs to stop defending it beyond stating the truth: It’s a stopgap measure to resupply energy markets, lower gas prices, and help Republicans in the midterms.”

That’s not a terrible take. Trump learned from Israel how to handle Iran. After October 7, Israel relentlessly leveled Gaza City and the underground military base it shielded. The world turned against Israel.

Trump decided to go Dave Brubeck and Take Five.

Iran fooled around and fell in FAFO. The Iranians resumed bombing after the funeral.

Big mistake as the Air Force and the Navy unloaded again. The world could not begrudge the man. He had an MOU. They failed to keep their word. As Admiral Dewey said more than a century ago, “You may fire when you are ready, Gridley.”

On Monday, as the smoke cleared from the guns of Trump’s Gridley, Pete Hegseth, President Trump went on Fox News and said:

We’re taking over the strait. They [the leaders of the Iranian regime] have nothing.

Yesterday, they had an 11-hour meeting. Everything’s 11 hours with these guys. Everything was agreed to yesterday. And they leave the room and they call back and they say, ‘We had to make a couple of changes.’ I said, ‘Changes? They’re going to make changes? We’re not going to make changes.’

For 47 years, they’ve been tapping presidents along. Every president got tapped along, didn’t do anything, and they became more and more powerful. This should have been done 47 years ago. It shouldn’t have been allowed to start.

The Memo Of Understanding was a ruse—a way to show the world that Iran wants war, not peace. Iran was the dope he roped. Now he is free to get the job done. The MOU showed once again, Trump is crazy like a fox.

Those who doubted him may wish to re-assess how they came to that conclusion.

[Stock Puppy] This guy actually wasn’t ever on THE VIEW, but this a great: You know how it is...

This guy actually wasn’t ever on THE VIEW, but this a great:

You know how it is obvious that it's not real?

Because all the Hens let him speak, didn't interrupt, and were so quiet that it seemed like they passed away!

[J.B.C.] This guy actually wasn’t ever on THE VIEW, but this a great: [X]

David Berding/Getty Images[/url]

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and one of its divisions said in a description of a proposed rule released on July 1 that they plan to establish an injury table for COVID-19 vaccines through the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP).

"The Table will list and explain injuries that, based on compelling, reliable, valid, medical, and scientific evidence, are presumed to be caused by covered COVID-19 countermeasures, and set forth the time periods in which the onset of these injuries must occur after the administration or use of these covered COVID-19 countermeasures," a summary of the rule, which has not been made public, stated.

COVID-19 vaccines fall under the CICP because previous health secretaries declared and extended emergency declarations for COVID-19, which opened up the option of emergency clearance of vaccines and other countermeasures under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who just announced that he was ending the emergency declaration, is authorized under the declarations to provide benefits to people injured by the vaccines under the act, HHS officials noted in the proposal summary.

"Under the leadership of Secretary Kennedy, HHS is restoring transparency and accountability because the American people deserve clear, evidence-based information about both the benefits and the known risks associated with medical countermeasures," an HHS spokesperson told The Epoch Times in an email.

The spokesperson said that more information will be available when the notice is published in the Federal Register.

Aaron Siri, Kennedy's former lawyer, wrote to Kennedy in 2025, urging him to create a COVID-19 vaccine-injury table. He pointed to the readiness and preparedness law, which states that the health secretary "shall by regulation establish a table identifying covered injuries that shall be presumed to be directly caused by the administration or use of a covered countermeasure."

An injury table would help people injured by vaccines apply successfully to the congressionally created program, which requires "compelling, reliable, valid, medical, and scientific evidence" that an injury was a direct result of a countermeasure, Siri wrote on behalf of the Informed Consent Action Network, which advocates for government transparency and change.

"A well-constructed injury table is needed for the CICP," Richard Hughes IV, a former Moderna executive who is representing health groups in litigation against the administration that has halted some of its changes to vaccine guidance, told The Epoch Times in an email. "The real question is whether this administration would promulgate such a table or weaponize it to further platform misinformation."

Dr. Joel Wallskog, who suffered the neurological disorder transverse myelitis and other issues from COVID-19 vaccination and has sued the government over the CICP, told The Epoch Times in an email that the HHS proposal "is more appearance than substance."

"It appears to do little more than streamline the process for the relatively small number of individuals whose injuries - primarily anaphylaxis and myocarditis/pericarditis - are already recognized under the current system," added Wallskog, also the co-chair of the React19 nonprofit, which offers support to people injured by COVID-19 vaccines. "For everyone else who has been denied, nothing changes."

Erica Samp, who says she was injured by a COVID-19 vaccine, said in a post on X that she supported the plan but that she's watching to see what details are included, including the covered injuries.

The CICP is both administered and adjudicated by HHS officials. It has compensated some people who have said COVID-19 vaccination caused health issues, but rejected others, including people such as Wallskog, whom doctors diagnosed as being injured by COVID-19 vaccines, The Epoch Times previously reported.

The CICP has, through June, compensated 60 COVID-19 vaccine injury claims, nearly all for myocarditis, a form of heart inflammation. The average compensation has been $4,000, aside from a few large payments, and about 99 percent of applications have been rejected.

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine said in 2024 that COVID-19 vaccines definitely cause myocarditis and shoulder injuries, but that other possible harms could not be conclusively linked to the shots.

Some outside organizations, such as React19, have said that the available evidence supports a link between the vaccines and additional problems.>

https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/rfk-jr-plans-create-list-injuries-caused-covid-19-vaccines

[IC720] Canada’s Growing Aerospace and Defense Sector "Canada is steadily transform...

Canada’s Growing Aerospace and Defense Sector

"Canada is steadily transforming from a country known primarily for natural resources into one playing a much larger role within NATO’s defense production network. The CBC reports that Ottawa is now looking beyond simply purchasing Saab’s GlobalEye airborne early warning aircraft. NATO itself has now selected the same Swedish system to replace its aging Boeing E-3 AWACS fleet, making GlobalEye the alliance’s future airborne surveillance platform. This is no small contract. NATO intends to acquire up to 10 aircraft in a program worth roughly $4.5 billion, while Canada is expected to purchase six of its own. The significance extends well beyond military hardware. It represents another major boost for Canada’s aerospace industry and another step toward integrating Canada’s economy deeper into the expanding military-industrial complex.

What many fail to appreciate is that this is not simply Sweden selling aircraft to Canada. GlobalEye is built around Bombardier’s Global 6500 business jet, manufactured in Canada. Every NATO aircraft ordered means additional work flowing into Canadian aerospace, engineering, maintenance, supply chains, and long-term servicing. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte himself emphasized that this is a multinational program involving European, Canadian, and American industries. Canada is no longer merely buying equipment. It is positioning itself as part of the production network supplying NATO’s future surveillance capability.

This follows precisely the trend we have been watching unfold. Canada recently selected Saab over Boeing for its own airborne early warning fleet, citing Arctic sovereignty, domestic industrial development, and reduced dependence on American suppliers. Saab has openly stated that the program will provide skilled work for Canadian industry, while Bombardier becomes an integral supplier to NATO’s next-generation surveillance fleet. These are not isolated procurements. They are laying the industrial foundation for decades of defence spending.

Canada already has the industrial base to profit from this shift. Ottawa’s own 2026 aerospace review found that the Canadian aerospace industry contributed C$34.2 billion to GDP in 2024 and supported 225,000 jobs, while remaining the top R&D performer in Canadian manufacturing. The broader defense industry added another $11.1 billion to GDP and supported 81,800 jobs. Canada also exported nearly C$27 billion in aerospace goods to 166 countries in 2024, with over 70% of aerospace manufacturing revenue tied to exports. This is why the GlobalEye decision matters. It is not just a plane. It plugs Bombardier and Canada’s aerospace supply chain directly into NATO’s rearmament cycle.

Canada is steadily transforming from a country known primarily for natural resources into one playing a much larger role within NATO’s defense production network. Whether one supports that direction or not, investors should recognize what governments themselves are signaling through their spending priorities. The expansion of aerospace, surveillance technology, advanced manufacturing, and military infrastructure is no accident. It reflects a world that is preparing for a far more dangerous geopolitical future than politicians are willing to admit publicly.

Categories: Canada
