Love to call liberals names? DO NOT POST HERE. Do you hate Epicure? Love to call her names? DO NOT POST HERE. Under our constitution, you probably have every right to be an asshole- but not here. I will ban you. I would prefer to have you go do your hateful business elsewhere, but if you do it here, you WILL be banned. Do you have this thread bookmarked, because you just hate liberals so much you've got to read everything they say? I'd suggest you unbookmark. Get another hobby- or hate some liberals who want to waste time with you. We can't be bothered. Somewhere, there are liberals who will waste their lives on you- go find them, and argue until you drop dead, because dead we will all be some day. And look at you! You will have wasted your time with people you hated. Good for you, little wingnut, good for you. That is what I would wish for you. Now go forth and hate, but not here. On one hand he is constantly bashing NATO, on the other hand he is blatantly blackmailing NATO into getting involved in a war NATO is actually not allowed to get involved in based on its guiding "defense only" principal.

Trump issues NATO ultimatum to reopen Strait of Hormuz 'within days'

By Shona Murray
Published on 10/04/2026 - 10:41 GMT+2

US President told NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte that NATO countries must work on a solution to resolve the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz immediately. Allies had originally committed to helping reopen the strait once hostilities had come to an end.

US President Donald Trump has said allies must find a solution within days to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Any operation would likely involve deploying military vessels and personnel to the region, despite initial reluctance from European allies.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has informed key member states of Trump’s demands following talks in Washington on Thursday.

Rutte is in the US capital for a three-day visit, which included meetings at the White House with Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. The conflict involving the US, Israel and Iran, as well as the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, was high on the agenda.

Ahead of the visit, Trump reiterated threats to reconsider US participation in NATO, criticising European allies for rejecting his calls to contribute assets to secure the strait, which has been largely closed to international shipping by Iran.

Following the talks, Rutte said Trump was “absolutely disappointed” over the issue.

“It was a very frank, very open discussion, but also a discussion between two good friends,” Rutte said of the private meeting held without media access.

On Thursday, Rutte reportedly contacted European capitals from Washington to relay Trump’s insistence that allies produce a plan to reopen the strait.

A NATO spokesperson confirmed to Euronews: “The Secretary General is in contact with allies about his discussions in Washington. It’s clear that the United States expects concrete commitments and action to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.”

Trump also criticised allies on social media, saying “none of these people, including our own, very disappointing NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them.”

Last week, more than 40 countries joined a coalition aimed at securing free passage through the strait, a critical shipping route for global energy supplies, once the most intense phase of the conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran ends.

Governments including the UK, Germany, Finland, Norway, France and Spain had initially said they would not deploy troops or naval forces, arguing they were not responsible for an offensive operation in Iran.

However, Trump has insisted he wants a plan within days, regardless of ongoing instability.

A source close to the discussions told Euronews it would be in the interest of NATO countries to respond positively, or risk wider consequences for collective security.

“What this all means for NATO is effectively up to the nations of NATO,” the source said. “Will they act, and if they do, will they act constructively towards their and the Alliance’s collective security and meet their obligations?”

NATO allies are now holding accelerated discussions on how to reopen the strait in the most practical and efficient way. Sources said Trump has told Rutte a plan must be developed “within days rather than weeks”.

“They are going to have to come up with some form of physical presence in the region,” the source said.

“As we know, this piece of geography is water-based, so this will likely involve some form of naval vessels and personnel to operate them,” they added.

Allies could also potentially rely on intelligence support and demining operations, sources told Euronews.

[S. maltophilia] More madness: ...Her [melanoma's] six-minute statement appeared to have been w...

More madness:

...Her [melanoma's] six-minute statement appeared to have been written by someone else: she could not pronounce some of the words in it, like “trivial,” and she said “calculating” and “convinced” in place of “circulating” and “convicted.” Notably, she did not mention her husband even as her unexpected statement injected the issue of the Epstein files and his appearance in them squarely back into the news. When she was done speaking, she turned and walked back out of view the way she had come, as reporters shouted questions.

Trump told a reporter he did not know the first lady was preparing to give a speech, but a source told CNN’s Betsy Klein that Trump had been alerted that she was going to make the statement. If his actions afterward were any indication, he wasn’t keen on it.

This afternoon, Trump began posting wildly. At 4:28 his social media account lashed out at former allies Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, who don’t support Trump’s war in Iran. Trump said “[t]hey’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” He reiterated his false claim that he won “in a LANDSLIDE,” and suggested MAGA voters love him. Those standing against his Iran adventure are “not ‘MAGA,’” he wrote; “they’re losers, just trying to latch on to MAGA.”

Then, at 5:28, Trump’s social media account posted: “The Wall Street Journal, one of the worst and most inaccurate ‘Editorial Boards’ in the World, stated that I ‘declared premature victory in Iran.’ Actually, it is a Victory, and there’s nothing ‘premature’ about it! Because of me, IRAN WILL NEVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON and, very quickly, you’ll see Oil start flowing, with or without the help of Iran and, to me, it makes no difference, either way. It's clear Trump likes dictators worldwide and believed Orban to be one.

If Trump supports Orban if he's clearly lost will Congress have the balls to say no. The US supports the winner of a democratic election.

I rather like the fact that many Republican's who're out of office, but had been respected in the party, are calling out Trump.

Unfortunately, at this point simply pulling out of Iran isn't, or shouldn't be an option. Worst case we should get back to at least where we were in Obama's agreement, which Trump cancelled. Clearly Iran is weakened now, but if we back out now, you know their emphasis will b e on a few nuclear weapons and just a few missiles that can deliver them, possibly intercontinentally. We know they can build missiles by the thousands that may not be that accurate, but a few bombs and long range missiles is what they could place the emphasis on. I know we might be able to stop them, but even one getting through could begin WW3.

We didn't know they had the range to reach Diego Garcia, while they missed, they did have the range. If they can go that far, it doesn't take that much more to go further. Frankly I don't know that a rouge country, or company, won't sell them what's needed to do it.

I hope we can get International support in policing an agreement with Iran, essentially like Obama had done. If they attempt to charge for using the straight of Hormuz we, or allies, need to neutralize their ability to do it. I'm not unsure that Israel couldn't do it themselves if we continued to arm them, but that too isn't where the world should be. I wish there was a simple solution, but there isn't, and an International effort is needed, not just the US and Israel vs. Iran. The biggest problem is that should have been established well before any attack, had it been, perhaps no attack would have been necessary.

Gary

[koan] I just saw Iran has mined the strait and is "herding" ships through.

[Ron] Iran War possibly the worst military planning in US history and its not over ne...

Iran War possibly the worst military planning in US history and its not over
newrepublic.com

[pocotrader] just joined, the first post i read said elbows up which I gave a thumbs up to

[Jo Ellen T] Lincoln Project billboard on Times Square, watch the video, you can to see Trump...

Lincoln Project billboard on Times Square, watch the video, you can to see Trumpster's eyes shifting back and forth -

[X]

My video. pic.twitter.com/pRqgus5sQc
— Sandi Bachom 📹 (@sandibachom) April 9, 2026

Small children in Guatemala know about Iran's desire to collect tolls:

Trump has previously addressed Iran imposing tolls on ships passing through the Hormuz Strait, and has himself mused that he would like the United States to impose its own tolls on shipping traffic in the waterway. The way Trump is going, he will beat Orban by miles.

According to AI:

Trump's net worth has increased significantly since his re-election in November 2024, primarily driven by surges in cryptocurrency ventures, Truth Social stock, and real estate valuations.

Pre-Election Baseline

Forbes estimated Trump's net worth at around $4.3 billion in late 2024, just before or during his campaign phase leading to the November election win. Other reports pegged it lower at $2.1–2.3 billion earlier in 2024, but it rose to about $4–6 billion by election time due to Truth Social's public listing.

Post-Election Growth

By September 2025, Forbes reported a $3 billion gain to $7.3 billion, attributing it to crypto (e.g., memecoin +$710M, World Liberty Financial +$340M), licensing deals, legal wins, and golf clubs. As of March 2026 (latest Forbes data), it stood at $6.5 billion, up $1.4 billion year-over-year and roughly $2.2 billion from early 2024 baselines.

Net Increase Estimate

From a $4.3 billion pre-election figure, the increase totals about $2–3 billion by mid-2025 peaks, settling to ~$2.2 billion net gain by early 2026 amid market fluctuations. That’s also true of the entire process, because the president gets a veto of sorts over his removal for incapacitation. Under the amendment, if the president sends a letter to the House and the Senate saying that he is in fact able to carry out the duties of the office, he instantly becomes president again. The vice president and the cabinet would then have four days to send their own letter, effectively saying no, the president is not able. At that point, the action shifts to Congress, which must vote to settle the dispute....

prospect.org

Vancer would likely rather wait until the after the election, so he can rule 10 years instead of six, though like putain and others, he may find a way to extend that.
