t’s a civil war of sorts between the man-catchers and the population at large.

An important part of our reporting on the Ukraine war here on TGP is tracking MSM vehicles finally reporting on themes and developments we have been covering here for months.

In the case of absolute tragedy that is the forced mobilization in Ukraine, it’s a bit sad to see that even in our conservative informational sphere, a lot of people are still not aware of the endless cat-and-mouse game in which the conscription officers attempt to forcibly send civilians to the meat-grinder – it’s called ‘busification’.

What people also don’t see is the desperate effort by women trying to save their loved ones.

And people taken to the limit are led to desperate measures.

Even the ultra-liberal BBC felt compelled to report on this subject with their “‘Everyone’s afraid to die’: Struggle to recruit soldiers in Ukraine turns violent”.

In their report, the Beeb tells the story of soldier Vasyl Krupych, who survived gruesome battles in eastern Donetsk to end up ‘attacked by his own countrymen whilst out searching for draft dodgers’.

(What they call dodgers we call people trying to survive.)

Krupych was badly beaten with a crowbar. He spent six weeks in hospital with broken ribs.

“Ukraine’s military ombudswoman says such attacks are now ‘regular’ and ‘a major problem’ as the country struggles to mobilize men to fight. […] It’s not a topic people here care to discuss much, wary of feeding Russian propaganda.

But the latest National Police Service report recorded more than 600 assaults on recruitment officers to date and warned that the aggression has become ‘increasingly threatening’.”

Federal Border Czar Tom Homan has announced that an unprecedented surge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents is coming to New York City in response to the city’s sanctuary policies.

Homan told Fox News on Sunday, “It’s coming,” citing the Trump administration’s refusal to be hampered by Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s vow to champion the city’s sanctuary status and to continue resisting federal immigration enforcement.

Homan refused to discuss specifics as to where and when enforcement actions would occur so as to avoid tipping off the various leftist groups who have organized to oppose ICE actions.

Homan told Fox News that “there needs to be a surge” and added, “But I am not going to show our hand because there are… well-funded groups who will try to impede, interfere. We’re not going to give them any upside on this.”

The border czar’s comments followed statements Mamdani made during a New York Times interview on Saturday, in which the mayor expressed “pride” regarding the city’s refusal to cooperate with immigration enforcement and vowed to protect immigrant communities.

Mamdani told the Times, “What we are unwilling to do is to participate in civil immigration enforcement with a federal government that has said openly it wants to deport a vast majority of people for crimes that we will never even know.”

According to Fox News, Homan fired back at Mamdani’s statement, saying that the mayor can have his stance but he will not prevent ICE from doing its job, noting, “That’s called the rule of law. If he doesn’t like it, call your members of Congress, tell them to change the law.”

The federal surge is also tied to New York state budget legislation signed into law by Governor Kathy Hochul that strictly curbs local law enforcement’s cooperation with federal immigration officials and bans ICE agents from wearing masks during community operations.

Homan has also argued that blocking ICE access to municipal jails removes operational efficiencies, forcing federal teams out onto the streets to conduct widespread community arrests.

The border czar said that President Trump’s campaign promises to address border security and to impose mass deportations are a large reason why he is the president today.>

You’ve never seen Kiev like this.

While the Ukraine war is the bloodiest war fought in Europe since WW2, the capital Kiev has still lived a comparatively normal life.

The calls from the most extreme Russian segments to ‘turn Kiev into a parking lot’, ‘raze it to the ground’ etc. have been solemnly ignored by Vladimir Putin and his military commanders.

With last night’s massive Russian airstrikes on the Ukrainian capital, the ‘quality of life’ there may have started to take a change for the worse – but there’s a catch.

CBS called last night’s attack ‘deadly, massive’, while The Telegraph and the New York Times called the ‘largest’, and CNN the ‘biggest’ missile attack of the 5-year war.

It’s estimated that between 40 and 50 ballistic missiles were launched at the city – and so far, the estimates in the western papers say ‘one person is dead’.

This appears to vindicate the Russian claims of only striking military targets (empty at night).

RT reported:

“The Russian Defense Ministry has detailed the targets of its latest large-scale overnight attack, saying that it hit military-industrial enterprises, logistics hubs, and fuel infrastructure used by Kiev’s forces.

[…] The ministry said Russian forces used high-precision air- and ground-launched weapons, as well as attack drones, against targets in Kiev and Kiev Region.”

The targets in the Ukrainian capital included Radionics, which produces guidance systems for missiles; Spetsoboronmash, a manufacturer of missile guidance components; Meridian, a producer of airframes and guidance system parts for missiles; Oakline, components for drones.

The Kiev Innovation Terminal, operated by Nova Poshta and the Tarasovka logistics center, was also targeted.

The attack also targeted other regions, notably Odessa.>

Sarsour was banned from Israel last month. Israel’s Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism Minister Amichai Chikli described Sarsour as “one of the most prominent figures in the anti-Israel boycott movement in the U.S. and a leader of the violent pro-Hamas protests following October 7th…She has incited students on American campuses, led campaigns to sabotage Microsoft’s defense contracts with the IDF, and specifically targeted Unit 8200.”

Iran Formally Suspends MoU It is now "official": the Iranians have declared that the signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States is dead. Tasnim is reporting Saturday that Iran will no longer fulfill its MoU obligations amid alleged repeat US violations. The past weeks have seen each side hurl warnings and threats to pull out, while attaching conditions that must be fulfilled.

But after what is now a full week of renewed fighting, it has been effectively torn up, with negotiations no longer happening. Al Jazeera is citing a top Iran official's precise statement on suspending the MoU in the following:

Previously, we have seen again and again Iranian officials accusing the US of violating the MoU and also putting some conditions if the aggression continues.

What we’re seeing is Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s deputy foreign minister, who is also head of the Iranian technical negotiating team, saying that in practice, the US has violated all the commitments and suspended the MoU entirely.

“We also likewise have suspended all of our commitments as a result; we are no longer implementing those commitments,” he added.

So, officially, this is the first time the Iranians are saying the MoU is over and they’re not going to implement any clause.

Given President Trump has apparently just ordered dozens more aerial refueling planes to the region, the conflict looks to continue going up the escalation ladder for at least the next week or longer. Each side will seek to impose more economic and military pain, while waiting for the other to blink. Battle of narratives over damage and retaliation:

Saudi Base Attacked for First Time in 4 Months Saudi Arabia has come under attack by Iranian missiles in the last 24 hours, the kingdom is confirming on Saturday, in a major escalation given that this is a first since near the start of the war several months ago. According to Reuters:

The Saudi civil defense early on Saturday issued two early warnings for Al-Kharj city and Yanbu to be alert to “potential danger,” but it later says the danger has passed in both areas, without providing details on the danger that triggered the warnings.

A US official tells the Axios news site that Iran targeted an American military base in Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, the first time that the Islamic Republic has directly attacked the kingdom in four months.

Locations in Jordan and even Syria have also been hit in recent salvos, but the US military has downplayed these attacks - and there's a battle of narratives over just how destructive these have been amid the fog of war.

116 Telecoms Towers In Southern Iran Taken Out As we featured earlier, Iranian communications and even the supply of drinking water have been severely impacted in some places of southern Iran, amid continuing US airstrikes on civic and national infrastructure, amid the seventh consecutive day of war. "Hormozgan’s chief of communications and information technology says the US's overnight attacks disrupted telecommunications in Bandar Abbas and Hajiabad, in the northern part of the province," Al Jazeera reports

Authorities there have tallied at least 116 telecommunication towers which were taken out of service due to the US onslaught. This has resulted in outages and disruptions of fixed-line, mobile, and internet services, per Tasnim news agency.

This suggests the US is returning to a strategy which seeks to create destabilization within, targeting the ability of the public to communicate and access information, returning the situation to the early weeks of the war, which saw Tehran authorities themselves curb internet and some telecoms access for the citizenry.

Kuwait Power & Desalination Plant Hit Kuwait was bombarded overnight in one of the fiercest Iranian retaliatory strikes since the US-Iran conflict erupted in late February, with missiles and one-way drones targeting power infrastructure and other critical energy assets.

Local outlet Kuwait News Agency reports an unspecified site of the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation suffered "significant material losses" as the week-long flare-up in Gulf tensions has derailed any near-term normalization of tanker flows through the Strait of Hormuz.

There was a report that the Al-Subiya power station was struck. This marks the second attack on Kuwaiti power infrastructure in just days, after a transformer at the Zour South electricity and desalination complex was hit on Friday.

Authorities disconnected several power-generating units as a precaution and urged residents to conserve electricity. A Kuwaiti army base was also struck during the latest escalation, injuring several personnel.

The US launched its seventh consecutive night of strikes against Iran on Friday at 3 p.m. ET, aimed at degrading Iran's military capabilities, including hitting bridges, energy infrastructure, and a port facility in southern Iran, according to Iranian state media.
The conflict has intensified beyond military targets, with the US striking six road bridges and reports of attacks near Bushehr's nuclear power plant and the province of Lorestan, raising fears of a return to full-scale war.
The hostilities were triggered by an Iranian drone strike on a cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz on June 25, just days after the US and Iran signed a preliminary ceasefire deal, setting off a chain of escalating attacks.

Iran Attacks Kuwait

Kuwait airport suspended flights following the Saturday attacks, which triggered multiple rounds of sirens from around dawn.

Kuwait's foreign ministry accused Iran of systematically targeting civilian sites and vital infrastructure, saying it "endangers the lives and safety of civilians."
Iran's Counterstrikes

Iran has been targeting US bases in Kuwait, Jordan, and Bahrain in retaliation for US strikes. The IRGC claimed its 20th wave of "Nasr 2" operations destroyed several American aircraft at a US airbase in Jordan.
US-sanctioned Iranian tankers are U-turning and zig-zagging in the Gulf of Oman as the US enforces an aggressive blockade of Iranian shipping, having redirected three merchant ships, boarded one vessel, and disabled a non-compliant tanker.
Energy Market Impact

Crude oil prices surged sharply, posting their biggest rise since April, as fears of renewed escalation grew and shipping traffic through the Strait of Hormuz slumped significantly.
The Strait of Hormuz shutdown is expected to spark massive investments aimed at permanently reducing reliance on the chokepoint, restructuring global energy infrastructure and trade flows, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.

Palestinian children in the Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera English, Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.0 The first rule of writing about Islam is that nothing that Muslims do wrong is their fault. Whether it’s raping kids or killing cartoonists, it’s always the fault of some outside force, capitalism, America, Israel or global warming.

Take ‘child rape’ or ‘child marriage’ or ‘child slavery’, a traditional Islamic practice which the media once upon a time used to actually report on, but which it now can only report on by blaming some outside factor.

Last month, I wrote about a BBC report that falsely blamed child marriage in Afghanistan on President Trump’s USAID cuts (why were Muslims in Afghanistan raping kids and selling their daughters before Trump and America) and the AP blamed child marriage in Gaza on Israel (no word on why there was the same rate of child marriage across the border in Egypt and why Mohammed ‘married’ a 7-year-old).

And now the media is at it again with Australia’s ABC blaming Muslim child marriage on… global warming.

Twelve million girls are tipped to become child brides this year, according to Plan International. Child marriage is a global problem across cultures and religions.

Really? All religions?

South Asia, one of the most vulnerable regions to the impacts of climate change, accounts for most of the world’s child marriages. Bangladesh has the highest rate in Asia according to Plan International, with more than 50 per cent of girls married before they turn 18.

Bangladesh just suffered an Islamist coup and is busy purging its non-Muslim Hindu population. According to the UN, the child marriage rate in Bangladesh is over 50%. Half of women give birth before they’re 18.

But to summarize, even though child marriage is common in Islam, and Mohammed ‘married’ a child, when there’s child marriage in Afghanistan, it’s because of Trump, when there’s child marriage in Gaza, it’s because of Israel, and when there’s child marriage in Bangladesh, it’s because of global warming.

Nothing to do with Islam.

Smoke from the massive wildfires has cast an orange haze over New York City

US President Donald Trump has threatened to impose new tariffs on Canada after hundreds of wildfires have left much of the northern US choked by a blanket of smoke.

The threat follows complaints by US lawmakers over the wildfires and Ontario's premier Doug Ford asking the US to send support to fight the fires, rather than complain.

"The United States is being unnecessarily invaded by filthy, polluted, and unhealthy air," Trump said, threatening to impose new levies over Canada's "willful negligence".

As of Friday, there were about 888 fires actively burning in Canada, according to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System - with the majority burning out of control.

More than 190 of those blazes are burning in Ontario, some out of control.

Trump said in his post to Truth Social that he would call Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to demand an explanation over his country's "willful negligence," accusing the country of "not properly maintaining" their forests and brush.

Fellow Republicans have used the issue to renew Trump's call to make Canada the 51st US state, a musing that has offended Canadians and prompted many to stop travelling to their southern neighbour in protest. Others online suggested a delay in opening the Gordie Howe International Bridge, a Canada-funded project that will connect Ontario to Michigan.

Carney earlier noted that it was the responsibility of both countries to fight climate change.

After Trump's remarks, Carney's emergency management cabinet minister said the two countries remain in constant contact and share a long history of working together on such disasters, citing a reciprocal fire-fighting agreement from 1982 and another assistance agreement from emerged from the 2025 G7 summit.

Canada has worked to prevent wildfires and invested about $12bn in forests sustainability and fire prevention, MP Eleanor Olszewski said in the statement.

"This is a challenge that knows no borders, and Canada is working with speed, collaboration and coordination to keep people safe," she added.

Relations between the US and Canada and been tense at times over the last year, mostly due to trade. Last year, Trump imposed tariffs on Canada - a country that had enjoyed decades of free trade with the US - and both countries have still yet to reach a trade deal.

What started the wildfires?According to the Canadian Wildland Fire Information System, nearly 3 million hectares of land in Canada has already been destroyed by the wildfires.

The impacts have been far-reaching, with a thick blanket of smoke spreading across US states, from Minnesota and Michigan to Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

"Hazardous" air quality alerts have been issued across much of the region, leading to the cancellation of many outdoor events.

As of Friday, air quality in Detroit was worst in the world, Swiss air quality tracker IQAir said, followed by the Midwestern city of Chicago, Washington DC, and New York in seventh place.

In the open letter addressed to Canadian officials, US lawmakers John James, John Moolenaar, Jack Bergman and Lisa McClain said their "patience has run out".

"We are done accepting apologies in place of action," they said, warning the US could explore direct involvement in cross-border wildfire protection and firefighting if Canada failed to act.

"We were told last year that this would be treated with urgency. It was not," they claimed, adding that instead "American lungs are paying the price for Canadian inaction, year after year".

They said that issues such as "chronic under-investment in forest thinning, fuel reduction, and prescribed burns, along with inadequate enforcement against arson", had not been addressed "adequately enough".

But scientists BBC Verify have spoken to say the picture is more complicated.

"Weather doesn't care about international borders," says Dr Patrick James from the University of Toronto.

Once smoke reaches the atmosphere, it travels wherever the winds take it - and smoke from major US wildfires has also affected Canada in recent years.

Experts also say many of the current fires are burning in Canada's vast, remote forests, where fires can be difficult to detect or contain before they become too large.

While better forest management can reduce wildfire risk in some areas, particularly near communities, it cannot prevent fires across an ecosystem of this scale.

Wildfires are very common in Canada, but the number of outbreaks has rapidly increased in recent weeks. Experts in both the US and Canada agree that this is likely because of sustained hot weather at the end of June across northern Ontario, coupled with a below average rainfall.

Scientists also say increasingly severe wildfire seasons are being driven in part by climate change, which is creating hotter, drier conditions that allow fires to spread more easily.Some of the fires have also been sparked by lightning.

"Climate change is a global issue, and it would be inaccurate to suggest that Canada alone caused or could have prevented these wildfires," says Dr Anabela Bonada from the University of Waterloo.

‘You can taste the smoke’: New Yorkers on air quality as fires burn across Canada

Instead of complaining, send help - Canada's Ford tells US lawmakersOntario Premier Ford replied to the lawmakers on Friday, saying that Canada has helped the US battle wildfires in California and respond to hurricanes in North Carolina.

"Maybe what you should do rather than complain is send support, send help, because we have done the exact same thing for our American friends," Ford said.

The premier also said that the US states of Michigan and Massachusetts, which are both led by Democrats, have offered assistance with water bombers, firefighters and rescue operations.

Responding to the criticism from US lawmakers, Carney said in French during a news conference in Ontario: "Climate change is everyone's responsibility - truly everyone's - including the United States."

He added that his government was "in close communication" with provinces and local communities.

Meanwhile, Ford dismissed criticism of his government's handling of the fires, noting that more than 150 fire crews are on the ground battling the blazes, along with over 80 water bombers and helicopters.

He added that his government has spent more than a billion dollars on wild land fire since 2018, and routinely spends more than its base budget allocated annually for firefighting due to the need.

"We are throwing every single resource we can," he said.

Fires burn down communities as haze grips region

America's blame game over Canada's wildfire smoke misses the point, experts say

Some residents in northern Ontario were forced to evacuate due to the ongoing fires. One First Nations chief reported her community was "burnt to ashes".

Fires are also burning on the country's west coast, where more than 59 active fires in British Columbia were reported on Friday. The British Columbia Wildfire Service said that 39 of those fires started in the last 24 hours and more than half (31 fires) are out of control, prompting firefighters to use more aggressive means to control them.

A large cluster of fires affecting northwestern areas of Ontario are responsible for sending thick plumes of smoke and poor air quality across the region and into the US.

On Thursday, thick haze of smoke blocked views across New York City, including the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Likewise, national monuments across Washington DC were obstructed by the hazy conditions.

Officials have stressed for people to stay indoors, some areas even passing out free masks, due to the poor health impacts of inhaling the fumes.

It's led to outdoor activities being cancelled across the northern parts of the US, from Chicago and Detroit to parts of Pennsylvania and New England. Summertime camps were brought indoors, concerts were rescheduled - and at least one beach was shuttered along a popular lake.

Poor air quality also affected air travel in some areas where low-visibility conditions at airports caused flight delays.

The inclement weather has also sparked concerns around Sunday's World Cup final between Argentina and Spain at MetLife Stadium - an open-air venue - in New Jersey, where Trump is due to attend.

White House officials - including Andrew Giuliani, the head of the White House's World Cup task force - is holding informal meetings with Fifa officials and others monitoring the wildfires, but no larger, formal meeting has so far been planned.

Forecasters believe that rains in the area over the weekend will improve conditions before the two teams take the pitch at 1500e (2000 BST).

In addition to the hazardous smoke extending across to the US, wildfires in northern Ontario have forced dozens from local First Nations communities to evacuate, with videos showing some fleeing the remote area by boat.

Members of the Namaygoosisagagun First Nation in the northern part of the province say they are "distraught" after fires tore through the community with very little warning.

Matthew Hoppe, incident commander for the Namaygoosisagagun First Nation, told the BBC that his community was devastated by the wildfires in northern Ontario.

Community members had to "self-evacuate" via small boats on Monday afternoon with the fire rapidly approaching, Hoppe said, adding that there were no deaths or direct injuries, he says, but the community has been "completely levelled".

Namaygoosisagagun First Nation Chief Helen Paavola told local news outlet CityNews in an interview that an aerial flyover showed that her community has been "burnt to ashes".

Ford said a total of 10 communities have had to evacuate, with many now seeking refuge in southern Ontario cities.

"It's a miracle that no one lost their lives," the premier said.

Iranians Urges to Conserve Power Iran has on Friday warned of a "more crushing" retaliation following the conclusion of last night's sixth consecutive day of US attacks, targeting military targets and logistics infrastructure, but also civilian sites connected to the power grid. By all accounts this current wave goes beyond the prior strikes in size and scope compared to the past several days.

Iranian state media has reported that eight people were killed from the overnight attacks, and that several bridges had been attacked overnight.

The ministry asked subscribers to turn off air conditioners for one hour during peak consumption periods to help ensure a more stable electricity supply to the affected provinces, ISNA said.

Friday was the first time that Iran's government acknowledged American "attacks on power infrastructure" during the campaign, which comes after Trump's prior warning to go after key civilian infrastructure.

Yes, though his answers seemed to ignore that fact. After all, what does "biological" even mean anyway? If, as gender ideology insists, a woman can have a penis that would by definition be something biological. The qualifier "biological" is as amenable to interpretation as the words male and female, which they already eviscerated. Trying to pin down these people with precise language is a lost cause. They just move the goal posts. It really is a Wonderland of incoherence.

I frame it this way when trying to reason someone out of their allegiance to gender ideology:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says a Canadian woman was charged after allegedly assaulting a teenager in “pro-Trump memorabilia” over the Independence Day long weekend in a New Jersey borough.

In a post to social media Wednesday, the department said Kaitlyn Tracey allegedly struck a teenage girl on a boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach on July 3.

Local police alleged Tracey began yelling at the teenager over “patriotic coloured sweatpants with political wording.” A news release on the police department’s social media account alleged Tracey was seen on video hitting the girl twice, once in the face.

Tracey was charged with simple assault, neglect of a child, compounding crime and harassing communication. She was taken into police custody Monday.

She was transferred to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody because she had overstayed her visa, Homeland Security said.

Tracey entered the United States on April 14, 2024, on a visa set to expire five months later on Sept. 6.

In an interview with New Jersey news outlet NJ.com published Thursday, Tracey’s husband said she was also assaulted and claimed her arrest was politically motivated.

Matthew Geroni, who is American, said the situation has been blown out of proportion. He alleged his wife was only charged after public pushback because of a video of the incident that was shared online.

That five-second video spread widely online in the days after the incident. It shows a woman twice hitting a person wearing blue shorts and an America 250 shirt before walking away.

Geroni told NJ.com the video has been taken out of context and doesn’t show the full encounter.

Geroni said since the video spread online, he and Tracey have received death threats and conservative groups have attempted to “dox” them by sharing their personal information.

Geroni had been giving updates on the situation through his TikTok page but it has since been made private. A GoFundMe page launched to help with legal expenses was also shut down.

Simple. The entire premise of men getting pregnant is based on the redefinition of "male" to include females. It all comes down to language. Which men can get pregnant? The ones with uteruses. Most of them don't think on their feet. A few do.

I recall one instance were Pocohantas was going after the CEO of the bank I used to work for. Before we merged into them, we had corporate jets. The new bank ordained that everyone flew commercial.

So Pocohantas was trying to hammer him on privilege and she asked what kind of plane he flew into DC on. She was looking for a private / corporate jet. He flew coach on general airline. Her equally dumb staff had prepared the line of questioning and Poco stuttered through the balance of her minutes...

Their staff typically does all the research and they coordinate the line of questioning.

Most of them just make speeches and ask very few questions.
