Thanks Bob. Your posts have always been informative. Ive had a lot of work to do since April so haven't had any time at all for trades, SI or even thinking about mrkt tbh. In terms of this thread, but really SI in general as well, I find at times it keeps me from taking more risk (esp in the semi field in particular). And hence inflation and taxes eat me up for not taking on enough reasonable risk, Also I play it too conservative if I post I've noticed. Ah well it's been very good net net over the years (you have clearly done better and quite well with a smart LT bullish view). On many of plays-MA etc- funny thing is just having the bulk in S&P, and for sure large tech for the long haul, outdid most any other strategy. But you already knew that-so does Kirk and some others- and collected nice premiums on smart relatively conservative option plays too. GLTA

I was up all of these hits combined in locked gain from first part of this year seen on these boards from wins triggered, but now am almost flat for year. ugg. These unrealized losses hung like an albatross tho and should should have been shot a good month ago at smaller losses. Hard when news seemed quite promising on these deals but market action suggesting big trouble, no one stepping in and these small volume names get hammered on tiny trade volume, a recipe for pain in this bad bear and possible much worse to come.

cant all be winners and when takeover plays are obviously busted in some way or could result in far more downstroke, I decided to take hit.

ctxs 2,200 sold @90.99 so out with about 19k loss

MX 2000 sold @16.29 - 5,500

even the amd triggered at 83.99 sold 1300 shrs resulting in -3,500

hey it happens was a good MA run for many years but this method is not tenable in these markets. lesson learned, but capital preservation and risk reduction was a must.

Good end of month expiration profits again.

I've joined you on INTC via selling $42.50 puts.

I'm trying to accumulate some shares before the Mobileye IPO (whenever that is).

I think a lot of Gelsinger and his plans will take time, but it will allow some good value buys while getting paid 3.5% in dividends, plus some put premium on expired puts.

So far the 42.50's have been nail biters.

Just tipping my toe in the water and not sure what price to either get more aggressive on or farther out in time.

The dividend yield is just not high enough to get aggressive on at this price range.

Might be because it is a good company vs other out of favor companies.

After all, there has been a chip shortage, but at this point in time, INTC's fab business is a concept not a big contributor yet.

My bet is that will change over time.
