We have enemies.

Our enemies are not bad people – but rather bad ideas.

Our present society has been subjected to a mass demoralization campaign for six decades – against technology and against life – under varying names like “existential risk”, “sustainability”, “ESG”, “Sustainable Development Goals”, “social responsibility”, “stakeholder capitalism”, “Precautionary Principle”, “trust and safety”, “tech ethics”, “risk management”, “de-growth”, “the limits of growth”.

This demoralization campaign is based on bad ideas of the past – zombie ideas, many derived from Communism, disastrous then and now – that have refused to die.

Our enemy is stagnation.

Our enemy is anti-merit, anti-ambition, anti-striving, anti-achievement, anti-greatness.

Our enemy is statism, authoritarianism, collectivism, central planning, socialism.

Our enemy is bureaucracy, vetocracy, gerontocracy, blind deference to tradition.

Our enemy is corruption, regulatory capture, monopolies, cartels.

Our enemy is institutions that in their youth were vital and energetic and truth-seeking, but are now compromised and corroded and collapsing – blocking progress in increasingly desperate bids for continued relevance, frantically trying to justify their ongoing funding despite spiraling dysfunction and escalating ineptness.

Our enemy is the ivory tower, the know-it-all credentialed expert worldview, indulging in abstract theories, luxury beliefs, social engineering, disconnected from the real world, delusional, unelected, and unaccountable – playing God with everyone else’s lives, with total insulation from the consequences.

Our enemy is speech control and thought control – the increasing use, in plain sight, of George Orwell’s “1984” as an instruction manual.

Our enemy is Thomas Sowell’s Unconstrained Vision, Alexander Kojeve’s Universal and Homogeneous State, Thomas More’s Utopia.

Our enemy is the Precautionary Principle, which would have prevented virtually all progress since man first harnessed fire. The Precautionary Principle was invented to prevent the large-scale deployment of civilian nuclear power, perhaps the most catastrophic mistake in Western society in my lifetime. The Precautionary Principle continues to inflict enormous unnecessary suffering on our world today. It is deeply immoral, and we must jettison it with extreme prejudice.

Our enemy is deceleration, de-growth, depopulation – the nihilistic wish, so trendy among our elites, for fewer people, less energy, and more suffering and death.

What is "the Machine"? It is a giant, shapeless blob. A Byzantine network of agencies, organizations, and companies.

The stated goal is to diffuse power, but the actual result is to diffuse accountability. Accountability is eliminated, while power continues.

The NRC’s response repeatedly leans on the recommendations of other regulatory bodies and NGOs to deflect any responsibility for using an unsubstantiated model. The NRC asserts that it should use LNT because the International Council on Radiation Protection (ICRP) uses and recommends it.

ICRP also has the fortune of passing the buck. Their website informs us that their recommendations stem from the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) and Biological Effects of Atomic Radiation (BEAR) publications.

UNSCEAR, being part of the U.N., is composed of representatives from dozens of countries. The U.S. delegate is an employee of the NRC. The pattern is similar for other countries.

Hence, UNSCEAR is largely composed of representatives from bodies it advises, or the advisees of those bodies in turn. Tracking the chain of recommendations back to the source reveals that its links form a circle.

After these terrorists were convicted, Puerto Rican nationalists responded with a bombing campaign.

The FALN first surfaced on October 26, 1974, when five large bombs exploded in Manhattan—in the Wall Street area, in Rockefeller Center, and on Park Avenue—causing considerable property damage but no injuries. The FALN claimed responsibility for these acts, as it did later for bombings in Puerto Rico.

Throughout the following year, the FALN boasted of a series of bombings, beginning on January 24 with a Wall Street explosion that killed four people and injured more than 50 and climaxing on October 27 with nine nearly simultaneous explosions in New York City, Washington, and Chicago that produced only property damage. Bill Clinton pardoned most of the perpetrators in 1999, but was rejected by the leader Oscar Lopez Rivera. He later received a pardon from Barack Obama and a personal performance of "Hamilton" in his honor.

In 1971 the Weather Underground detonated a bomb inside the US Capitol to protest the invasion of Laos. Bill Ayers, who led the organization, later became a close friend and mentor of Barack Obama.

Bill Ayers said, "I don't regret setting the bombs."

Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn, who led the Weather Underground together, would become professors, with Ayers getting a taxpayer-funded job in Illinois.

The main problem is utter doctrinal confusion about what "MAGA" even means. So many who claim this label agree on almost nothing beyond hating the media and the excesses of woke culture. Valid causes, but only a fraction of what matters.

There's so little clarity on MAGA policy because Trump's winning 2016 campaign rhetoric often bore little resemblance to what his Administration did. It was filled with old-school GOPs of the type he denounced, who flattered him and thus got their way: The Mike Pompeo Syndrome.

One pivotal moment for this was when Jared Kushner won his power struggle over Steve Bannon. Kushner is pure Chamber of Commerce on domestic policy and neocon on foreign policy. So many like him cynically grabbed the "MAGA" label while continuing Bush/Cheney orthodoxy.

Just go look at what Trump said in 2016 about social spending, tax cuts, foreign policy, benefits for the working class. Little of it happened because he surrounded himself with Reagan/Bush Republicans. They'll use MAGA as a pose, a vibe, but they're Pompeo/Kushner on policy.

The excitement over DeSantis encapsulates this perfectly. It's easy to see why conservatives love him: he's smart, disciplined, shrewd, young, was right on COVID, defies media pressure.

But on policy, he's standard GOP. I'm sure many Republicans want that, but that's not "MAGA."

Trump's 2016 campaign was based on denunciations of Reagan/Bush/GOP orthodoxy on domestic policy and Bush/Cheney/neocon orthodoxy on foreign policy. That's why neocons and the GOP establishment hated him. That's what "MAGA" is. Many who claim that label believe the opposite.

Look at US involvement in the war in Ukraine. The vast majority of the GOP establishment is 100% united with Biden/Dems/neocons: they want full-scale US role. Opposition only comes from the MAGA wing of the GOP (MTG/Tucker) and the anti-imperialist left unrepresented in Congress.

Marx recognized that capitalism breaks down social bonds, and he liked that. He felt a good dose of capitalism would leave people defenseless against the allure of Communism.

Durkheim observed the same process at work as had Marx and Engels, but Durkheim believed that rather than giving rise to new, atomized-but-liberated agents, this atomization created social pathologies. He coined the term “anomie” to describe this phenomenon. To Durkheim, anomie was a social condition that caused a breakdown of moral values and an uprooting of individuals from their communities. Durkheim believed that anomie was the condition that gave rise to epiphenomena such as the rise in the suicide and homicide rates.

Recently, political scientist Patrick Deneen has dusted off this old tradition. Much has been made of the fact that in his book Why Liberalism Failed, Deneen blamed liberal ideology for the social pathologies we see in Western societies today. What has been less discussed in Deneen’s book is his frequent implication that this liberal ideology is an outgrowth of international capitalism itself. “The global market,” Deneen writes, “displaces a variety of economic subcultures, enforcing a relentless logic of impersonal transactions.” It is hard not to read sentences like this as indicating that it is the capitalist machine and its globalizing tendencies that produce social liberalism, and not vice versa.

We’ve known it works since August 24, 2020. That is when the phase 2 results were published. Since FLV is a safe drug, it should have been widely discussed with patients that there is virtually no downside and a huge reduction in hospitalization if the drug is given early. Every earlier study of fluvoxamine (such as observational studies) showed it work and the mechanism had been shown. Once the Phase 2 result came out, it should have been embraced by doctors. The medical community did nothing (with a few exceptions like Dr. Seftel).
The infectious disease scientists lied to me. They all promised me when fluvoxamine passed Phase 3 trials, nearly everyone would use it. That was a lie. Pretty much nothing changed when the Phase 3 trial confirmed fluvoxamine worked. . Fluvoxamine was reportedly added to just 2 practice guidelines. Medicine isn’t about saving lives anymore. Those days are gone.
Government agencies are ignoring the science. NIH and WHO refuse to acknowledge it works since it will cause vaccine hesitancy if it is known that there is a drug that turns COVID into a mild disease. That’s why they didn’t change their recommendation when the Phase 3 trial was published in Lancet. I fully expected both organizations to do absolutely nothing. They knew in advance it was coming and on the day the paper was published they ignored it entirely.
Lack of action. All this was known back in January 2021 when a key opinion leader panel of experts from NIH, CDC, FDA, academia, and journal editors voted by over 2:1 to recommend that fluvoxamine be recommended to physicians to discuss with patients. All the medical journals refused to publish the meeting notes (rejected by 6 journals).

However, the CIA station chief blamed Iran for the attack. He wanted to demonize Iran for political reasons.

The FBI director Louis Freeh also wanted to pursue this angle and prosecute Iran for it. But the DOJ's Washington field office was reluctant, so Freeh tried to get the case moved to the Virginia field office. AG Reno blocked the move. Then, Reno left and the new Acting Deputy Attorney General agreed to move it to Virginia. The Virginia prosecutor happily pursued the fraudulent case.

Had we treated this case seriously and honestly, it's quite likely Bin Laden would have been taken more seriously and 9/11 would not have happened.

If Trump had been similarly perceptive about the "warmongering fools" he appointed to his administration, he'd still be in office.

Or are "warmongering fools" so omnipresent in political administrative class that it's impossible to form an administration in modern US without them?

Because such a large percentage of Republicans in congress were anti-populist, anti-working class and pro-regime change wars, Trump never had a majority. Seems to me that he was at real risk of early impeachment on Russiagate hoax if he crossed neocon warmongers. No easy answer.
