MESA was a tough stock to own for most of the time it's been in my portfolio. I've continually added shares as the price declined. I even borrowed from 'Peter' to pay 'Paul' using cash from other holdings to continue buying. Now the stock seems to be improving.

Let's hope for less "turbulence" for 2023.....

Two sells followed by five consecutive buys. I guess I was a bit too early on MESA last August.

The holding now has 67% more shares than when I started. It's going to take a while to see how this works out. High energy prices and poor bookings have pushed this airline's earnings into the Red the last two quarters. A return to profitability is going to be harder now.

On a more positive note, it appears airline travel is starting to turn upward again.

I added MESA to my common stock portfolio on the 19th of August (price/share $7.20). Fundamentals look pretty good at that price and while I'm not a real fan of airline stocks in general, MESA seems to know how to turn a profit from flying aircraft.

I plan on trading around this new core position for the next 3-5 years.
