The best, altho the Swing Era was pretty good, and I suppose leisure class Vienna had some good tunes a few centuries ago. There were other great things in our lifetime, like the polio vaccine and televised sports, but the music, along with our ability to capture it, was the best. Nobody alive can see Mozart or Beethoven in action, but we can all see countless live performances caught on film, thanks to cameras at the performance and youtube; musicians creating tunes out of thin air while jamming to the heartbeat of the universe.

Tanks Rose, I think we do live in a good karma zone...lots of good people surrounding us. I only know of one Trumper in the hood, he struts around like an angry peacock, putting up his signs...and glowering at passersby. I make a point of always smiling big and saying hi, he always looks at me like wtf?!

Yen is tough, she is just motoring along, rolling with the rhythm of her treatments. She will be doing chemo every three weeks for the foreseeable future, so her energy is up and down, but she is happy and doing well.
She is going to see her sister in San Diego in a few weeks, I hope she does well with traveling... she had major back surgery along with the cancer, so I hope she is comfortable, and we can get back to some traveling, we are itching to get back to Vietnam.

Yes, great question, nah that didn't make me feel old at all. I was happy that a young man was asking good questions of random older customers. Smart kid, he's very engaging.

Our corner store is a throwback...the owner employs a lot of the local kids, a place everyone has their first jobs. Everyone is happy there....

It's so old school, that many locals just have a running tab that they pay once a month. And probably not all if they are needy..

The previous owner was a classic, but unfortunately one of the first covid victims. He fell off a ladder at home, when they took him to the hospital, he had no major injuries, but they found the congestion in his lungs, and he was gone within a couple of days. His nephew has done a great job of continuing on in the old school manner..

I went down to the basement to see if we had any more Canadian Club. I don't know why, but there's been a big run on foreign alcohol. Didn't find any, so I'll order some, but I did find a box of old 45's, so I loaded up the juke box with a bunch of new tunes.

I'm pretty sure all my connection problems are because T Mobile is taking over US Cellular and is installing new equipment. They say we need a new internet router, and they will tell us what to do next week, which doesn't help today, or weeks ago.

It's very frustrating, but it's an excuse for games.

They had another success today, Jackie Wiles winning a Bronze in women's combined....Combining times for two disciplines, Downhill and Slalom. The fastest and most dangerous event, with the most technical slowest race.

This was Seattle's year - they peaked heading into the postseason and never missed a beat.

I'm not sure if they played this past year (I don't think they did), but they had a pretty famous Super Bowl in 2013-14 with Russell Wilson getting picked off in the end zone in the final 30 seconds on a slant pattern when perhaps the Seahawks should have given the ball to Marshawn Lynch instead.

Seattle is tough. New England is good too, but this looks like the Seahawks' year to me.

I completely agree re the NFC West - many battles ahead. I'd typically favor the Rams against the Bears (with much less experience), but the weather tonight should be the great equalizer. Caleb Williams has been far better than I thought he would be also.

If the Seahawks' defense continues playing the way they did last night, it may not matter who they play next. They sure look like Super Bowl favorites from here.

Rough watch for Niner fans, but an incredible season overall with the injuries they endured. The Seahawks' defense is for real. Sam Darnold seems like a good dude - it is going to be tough for anyone to go into Seattle next week and knock them off.
