There are lots of things that politicians can change that effect Americans and the world for that matter. If you live in a State Bordering Mexico, you would be very aware of the difference between Trump's boarder policy and Obama's puppet Biden (soon to be Harris).

American is being taken over by Marxist Socialist and nothing good is going to come out of that, nothing.

Sure. No politics. But I'd like to say that my point was about the futility of politics. You note that I said things happen for reasons that are beyond the control of anyone and that it doesn't matter which party is in power, things will more or less take the same course.

The way the US is right now, too many people end up ruining their relationships because of the politics. And my point was that is wrong attitude because when you look at it objectively, there is very little difference in what a president can do because he inherits an environment that is a force of nature onto itself and will have very few options.

I've made a similar point with regards to the interest rates and the Fed policy. The interest rates will remain low for at least the next 5 years and bonds will be a loser for at least the next 10 years no matter what. There may be little rallies here and there, but on the whole, they will be losers even despite the economy. Why? Because the federal debt is $30T and rising and a 1% increase in interest rates will cause a $300B shortfall in the Federal budget. So unless tax revenue increases by that much, then there will be no rate increases.

Broken Retirement

I could call this section “Broken Dreams.” Millions of Baby Boomers are approaching what they thought would be a comfortable retirement age and instead finding they’re nowhere near ready. Worse, many believe themselves ready when in fact they aren’t. They will realize it only when markets show them what reality looks like.

The many reasons for this mostly trace back to the above-mentioned broken bond market. Retirement investing used to be easy. Save money, park it in interest-bearing instruments, and live off the income, with Social Security and maybe a job pension to help. Not complicated and it worked well for decades.

But about the time the oldest Boomers began reaching their mid-60s, this thing called “interest” mostly disappeared as committees and politicians decided to favor borrowers by keeping rates ultra-low. And just like that, retirement broke. The old method stopped working.

This left retirees and pre-retirees little choice but to “stretch for yield” in riskier assets. Indeed, that was the plan. The Federal Reserve under Bernanke, Yellen, and now Powell explicitly wants investors to take more risk. It’s the other side of their desire to encourage borrowing. This is also called “financial repression.”

So now we have retirees with far too much in stocks, junk bonds, or other risk-heavy assets. And not just individuals; the same is true for large pension funds. Their trustees are truly trapped: contractually obligated to pay certain benefits and unable to do so without robbing future beneficiaries.

I suspect my readers are more retirement-ready than most, but I still hear horror stories: people who worked hard, did their homework, made good decisions, only to see it all collapse. If you think you’re prepared, or already retired and think yourself secure, I suggest you reexamine your assumptions. Retirement is broken and your dreams could become nightmares.

I have been divesting out of GLD and SLV and buying the physical. Mainly multi gram bars, as they can be used for wealth preservation, but more importantly in an emergency for purchasing. Buying coins that contain more metal can beget you a better deal as long as you time your purchases. However, they are not very practical when you need to buy a loaf of bread or a few gallons of fuel, etc.

The multi gram bars tend to be "out of stock" during pullbacks. Demand sucks them up.

Fill the weekly gap up is a distinct possibility. I am expecting silver to beget new all time highs before the run is over. Of course, it is not going to happen overnight, but sooner than most expect.

I am buying physical multi gram bars of gold and silver not as an investment, but more for wealth preservation and to buy supplies with. Rough times ahead.

I have an extensive coin collect, one that includes old rare coins. For instance, I have two gallon buckets full of rolled nickels worth 2 to 3 bucks each, etc. I have a large amount of old coins that I need to catalog. I have been procrastinating on getting started for years. I already have a microscope camera that hooks up to my PC.

I just have to push myself to get started. One of the better places to buy supplies...

I use my OB/OS models in conjunction with price patterns with volume nuances. Someone a few weeks ago attacked me on this thread and said he could look at a chart and do that, so I offered nothing.

I just have to laugh, when I get attacked that way. I have been doing this successfully since the mid 80's based on my worthless OB/OS models...gg

Some of my models are modified standards and some of my models are algorithms providing accumulation and distribution using buy price and accumulation distribution using price volume. And I always pay attention to volume spikes and price patterns with volume nuances.

We are seeing the beginnings of volume spikes. Take a look at the SLV weekly from the ETFs inception. I suspect the SLV will pull back (correct) from the 30s before it challenges its all time highs. A lot of folks looking to get even will sell into the ramp up, causing the expected ramps and back and fills. Look backwards over the chart and you will see the areas to keep an eye.

As selling volume began to spike, my Daily Accum/Distrib models were both in deep OS territory on 2020.03.18 and my weekly A/D models supported the buy signal.

However, intermediate timing is not always everything given want is coming...long term.

I think my next Forum post should include my reads on GLD and SLV.

Regarding your question as to SLV, my Daily Models gave a buy on 2021.01.15 and my Weekly Models supported the buy and suggest SLV is going higher. Same exact dates and reads for GLD.

With all the US Government Spending and Borrowing and Money Creation by the Central Bank, it is a good idea to put money in hard assets as well as stocks. Da_Cheif has been calling for the recognition way for some time now. IMO, we have been in it. At some point, there will be a down wave 4. I am no Elliot Wave Practitioner, but I suspect wave 3 is inflation driven as are hard assets and precious metals.

What I have is very much like having the mumps when I was a kid, but much worse. At first I thought I had the mumps again. Now being post puberty it did have me worried. While rare one can get the mumps again.

Most likely this is Staphylococcus Aureus related, which means we have to keep a close eye on it. My wife and I were exposed following my mom's strokes (she was partially paralyzed and could not speak or eat) and subsequent hospitalization for a year before she died. We visited her almost every day. We had to put on gowns, gloves and mask before entering her room.

Staphylococcus Aureus is pretty common. As we get older our bodies immune system is less able to cope with it. Staph A is not easily treated and can be deadly.

Thanks for the well wishes.

It seems the infection is not done with the left side of my face just yet. Pain is not as bad as it was, but it is still there. I have no idea how I got this. The wife and I have kept ourselves sequestered for the past six months, only going out for necessities.

In the middle of this, I did have to deal with hail damage repairs to our residence in Texas. One of two vehicles damaged has yet to be repaired. The other was totaled.

Maybe I got it from one of the workmen. It was hot and humid during the repairs and none of them were wearing masks due to the heat. However I kept my distance and in truth, I do not know how I got this.

By the way to all that have continued to follow my work, I was too early calling a top. (Most prognosticators never admit being wrong. In fact, most posts enough contradictory calls they can always be right.)

In practice I made a mistake and made calls ahead of my models. In reality I needed to wait until my weekly models moved into their OB ranges as well. That occurred toward the end of this blow off top. Yesterday's drop came right on schedule per my models. I will refrain from getting ahead of them going forward. I missed one...

I have not been updating my blog or tweeting, etc., because I have been fairly ill for past six weeks or so. I did not get Covid-19, but I did get something kin to the mumps except much worse. Not sure exactly what it was, but it was very painful and once it was done with the saliva glans on the right side of my face (felt like a severe tooth ache and ear ache rolled into one), it began to move to the left side. Once it began to subside from the saliva glans it moved into my joints. Just now coming back to life.

Just today, I tweeted the bearish pattern that set up today's decline and target. I tweeted the current intraday bounce before the fact that is at least resetting my shorter-term intraday models from OS. Those that are following me on Twitter are getting my reads in advance or in real time.

FYI, I will no longer be posting notices of new blog post publications on this thread. I opened a Twitter Account and will tweet them there, as well as tweet my intraday comments.

The blog will eventually be taken private via free memberships and the Twitter Account "tweets' will eventually only be accessible to followers.
