Have no idea about speed comparisons. However my I5 4690 and mint cinnamon 19.1 typically run 2 virtualbox linux guests and one windows guest.

My base machine usually has a video game up with one linux guest streaming a movie, while the windows guest runs my MT trading platform.

All without any "speed" issues ... also only reason have any Windows running is lack of good linux trade platform.

Not a typical gamer but do run Stardew Valley, The lone dark, Open MW without issues. Also no issues adding a DOS 7 guest and ascendancy or capplus to the above.

PS In addition my system has 2 monitors with Nvidia card which also can put a drain on the OS but no issues with my situation.

I'll get back to Linux. Started XP over with 64 bit SP2.

There isn't a service pack 3 for XP Pro 64.

This makes huge difference using all the RAM.

As you know, no 32 bit OS can use more than 4 GB.
