I have lived in a lot of the red states including the one that is currently being contested. There is no way that the red states could tolerate Kerry's arrogance. These people all smoke a pack of Marlboro Reds and love W's swagger. Frankly, I am surprised that Kerry was able to pull out so many voters in Cuyahoga and Summit Counties. I am shocked that the urbanization of Northeastern Ohio has already delivered these counties to the Dark side. Off of these boards, no one has time for the intellectual eliticism of the Democrats. The Democrats are only staying in the race by promising urban voters something they can't deliver - national healthcare, entitlements, higher taxes for the rich. Whatever it takes to make the urban masses that the Democrats will make someone else suffer just like them. That negativity will not work outside of the huge mass of urban voters.
