<Following the election, we will see the Iraqi military move to complete lockdowns on the terrorist networks left in Fallujah.>

This reminds me, of what was said before the tanks rolled into Iraq:

"The French and Germans and Turks and Pakistanis will be begging to send troops to Iraq, after we overrun Bagdad. They will be lured by the honey-pot of Iraqi oil. They will realize they were wrong to hold back, they will crawl back in shame and join the Coalition. All we have to do is show resolve, make it clear we will never change course, never compromise, and the weaklings will get in line, eventually."

Of course, this all turned out to be wishful thinking.

The apologists for this war of aggression, have spent the last 3 years leaping from one silly cotton-candy bit of wishful thinking to the next. As soon as one hopeful prediction evaporates, they forget they ever said it, and create some new fantasy future, a future in which war brings peace, killing creates love, and we can be safe by making other people unsafe.
