FRANKFURT -(Dow Jones)- Evotec OAI AG said Tuesday that Direvo Biotech - in which it has a minority stake - has raised EUR10.5 million in financing.

After financing, Evotec owns 22.75% of Direvo Biotech, a company spokeswoman said. When Direvo was founded earlier this year, Evotec held a 65% stake.

Lead investors are Danisco Venture, part of Danisco A/S (K.DNS), and Munich- based Techno Venture Management, or TVM, Evotec said.

Prior to this financing deal, Evotec OAI owned 32.5% in Direvo, a spokeswoman said.

Evotec has no plans to cut the stake further, she added.

Other investors in this round include Cologne-based SK Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaft Koeln mbH, New York-based Sanders Morris Harris (SMHG), as well as private investors Manfred Eigen, Ruthild Winkler-Oswatitsch and Heinrich Schulte.
