Third post:

Longer term holdings:

Gold exposure (ABX, NEM, CEF)
Raytheon Corp.
B-rated corp. bonds (Dundee Bancorp and Citibank)
Foreign bonds (fund)
High Yield bonds (fund)
Preferred dividend income (fund)
Small amounts of various small-cap equity (fund)

Thoughts: Downturn is going to be longer than expected, thorough flushing. Naz no bottom until <1000, Dow just beginning, likewise S&P. Canada may not do as poorly (I live here), majority natural resource export (still!). No currency will survive, gold will become bastion of last resort (very contrarian, no grief). Only current worry is of a banking collapse, extensive short gold derivatives exposure may be the catalyst.

Random thoughts: Feels like a war brewing. Don't know yet.

Will continue swing-trading on the short side, volume on recent bounces is pathetic.

This thread is just starting as I start to move to being a professional trader. I won't update the overnight lists regularly until I get my schedule together (probably late June).

Cheers,

Simon.

Don't like NXTL so much this morning... Looks like we're going to gap up. Sell off at open? Who knows...

Simon.
