American Multiplexer Corporation `AMC' Announces a Service and Co-location Agreement with Level 3 Communications
SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 1999--American Multiplexer Corporation (NASDAQ - OTC BB:AMUT) announced today that it has signed an agreement with Level 3 Communications (Nasdaq:LVLT - news) to purchase bandwidth and co-locate its Network Operating Center (NOC) at the Level 3 facility in Sunnyvale, California. AMC is deploying its Network for delivering voice, video and data services direct to the PC or TV.

Level 3 is building the first international network optimized for Internet Protocol technology. The Level 3 network combines local, long distance and undersea networks, connecting customers end-to-end across the U.S. and in Europe and Asia. By co-locating its NOC at the Level 3 Gateway, AMC has direct access to the Internet backbone for its broadcast, multicast and end-to-end IP services.

According to Edward Tan, president of AMC, ``The Level 3 Agreement means that AMC is not limited by the size of the pipe to the backbone, and we can meet the unprecedented growth in demand for broadband services.'

Information in this press release, other than that of historical fact, is based on development schedules and projections that involve substantial risk and uncertainties. Reference is made to documents filed in compliance with Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations for a discussion of such risks and uncertainties and other factors that may have a material effect on the Company's business.

I sold my AMUT near $5 capturing a nice 100% gain. My basic feeling hasn't changed: It's one of the better quality OTC companies (now I think they are on the PinkSheets until the filings are current). But sometimes you have to know when it's enough <g>

best regards

BTW: I changed my strategy somewhat and started looking for undervalued NASDAQ companies with lot of cash and a low price/book and price/sales ratio. Loaded up on AMLJ and LPWR before they started moving. Both still cheap..
