From: tktrimbath | 1/1/2022 1:09:22 PM | | | | Anecdotal interest in MVIS - I just posted my "Popular Posts in 2021" post for my main blog. The great majority of the popular posts were about MVIS. I write about personal finance, other stocks, frugality, community, innovations and inventions - and none come close to the amount of traffic MVIS generates. The top three referrers in order were Reddit, Twitter, Facebook. Filling in the next gap were Stocktwits, Silicon Investor, and Motley Fool. And, it wasn't just 2021 and 'meme' stocks, which I also wrote about. Every year has been similar, though 2021 was very much about MVIS. As for 2022? Well, we were waiting for "next year". Hopefully 2022 is it (and we're not treating "next year" like the fact that tomorrow never comes.)

I like their IP portfolio so I'll likely buy some at some point but I'm still waiting a bit to pull the trigger since I expect it to drop a little further. If they decide to hang it up, they've got value in their intellectual property that a lot of companies would love to own. I don't know if they have a cash problem or not. Their CEO as recently as this week says they've got sufficient cash to last this year and into next. They have no debt. It definitely belongs in the speculative wing of the portfolio. It's always fun to have two or three of those for entertainment. I flipped it several times this past summer when their share price was going wild. Without their IP, I wouldn't be looking at it.
Pass me the dice. C'mon seven. Baby needs new shoes!! <G>
