On the same note, anyone out there have any idea where the stock will trade tomorrow? I bought some towards the end of the day at 8, just to take a gamble. Nothing surprising about the earnings, from my perspective that is! I'm wondering if MGX will continue its runup! I'm doubting it will and some of you have already alluded to the point that after earnings it can fall back down easily.

Looking for any insight,

Matt

Looks like MGX did go down, just as I suspected from the last course of action. A run-up in stock price then boom a drop. I am quite surprised that it is holding up at $7 1/2, but it is early and may still go down more by day's end. Looks like it will be a steady nose dive again and where the bottom is no one knows.....

Mossimo is on the move hit an intraday high at 10 3/8 today. Pass couple of days the MM are pushing this stock higher. Watch out. If Mossimo can only come out with a good quarter for once, it might actually go back to lofty level when it IPOed.

Winston, I would be very careful of this stock right now. They showed nothing with last quarters figures and are obviously on the wrong track with Moss' desire to be the next Ralph Lauren or Armani. The analysts are worried about the change in direction and lack of attention to the market where the money was made, ie; T-Shirts, shorts, and other leisurewear. Part of the reason IMHO for the departure of the CFO was his dissatisfaction with the direction of the co. Ask about the rumored jet plane Moss ordered and now can't pay for because of the drop in stock prices. Ask about trying to control the overspending for "PR" activities. This co. needs to show some fiscal responsibility before I will be buying any more of their stock. We all hope for a better future! geoff

p.s. Can this possibly be a case of "no news is good news" ???

Geoff,

There is NO WAY IN HELL that I would buy any more of MGX stock. Moss' has the ego the size of Mars and that is putting it lightly. Recently, read an article that briefly explained the situation the Mossimo is in and the future is very shaky. The company does not have a clear direction and the CEO Moss himself doesn't know what the crap he is doing. All I meant in the early message was that the stock is getting a lift and that is most likely due to the small caps coming back into play because of the MMs. Also, summer is around the corner and if Mossimo can get there act together might be profitable once again. Until they prove to mean the company has direction and revenues are increase I will be on the sidelines waiting. Sooner or later my butt will start getting tired and it will be time to move. ( Take a loss, which I hate to do!) Good Luck

Winston, Why can't Mossimo be spelled T-o-m-m-y H-i-l-f-i-g-e-r???
I bought at 25 and 15 and "not take a loss" is not my problem its "minimize the loss" before dumping this dog!! geoff

I would even settle for D-o-n-n-a K-a-r-a-n. I hope that next quarter's numbers are profitable or this dog is going to get hit it the ass with the newspaper again. I would also like to minimize losses, I hope it can get to $10 again.

Looks like Mossimo approved Employee stock purchase plan for 500,000 for employees to purchase. I wonder if this is good or bad for the company, since the stock price is at rock bottom prices? Looks like the eps for the second quarter is at .9 cents. Does anyone have any other information on MGX? Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

Anyone know what happen today. Stock hit 9 7/8 on a trade of 1600 shares? It was asking 8 7/8 at the time. Did the person punch in the wrong number during an online trade?

Geoff,

Do you have any idea why the stock is dropping. It hit below $7 today and keeps falling? Is earnings going to be that bad??
