Does anyone know the current % of institutional ownership of MGX
and confirm that the CEO holds 70% of outstanding? As far as
forward looking statements go, I think we'll have to wait until
the 8th to see how deep the write-downs are and how clear the
horizon looks.

I do not think the CEO Mossimo Ginnuali owns 70 percent of the outstanding shares, I believe it was more like 50 percent and the other shares going to the top executives at the company. The 8th will make or break this stock. If there is any more bad news this stock will hit the $5 or $4 range. I belive that majority of the institutions have sold or averaged down. There is only 4 millions shares that were sold out of the 15 million shares outstanding. It doesn't look like the company will turn around any time soon. I have been holding this stock forever, the company management is in disarray, and Mossimo G. doesn't know what the hell he is doing, he just keeps spending and spending and spending money he doesn't have....Here is some information about the instutitional holdings.

50 Institutions hold a 24.73% position, a 11.28% increase from the prior period. 20 Institutions established new positions, 8 increased holdings, 21 decreased holdings and 1 were unchanged.

Do you think Mossimo will go up if it reports only the expected loss? I'm thinking of getting out of Mossimo because of their recent earnings. It doesn't seem like a focused company. On the other hand, summer is coming and I wonder if sales will pick up for T-shirts, shorts, and other casual wear. I got in at $13. Hope to get out above $7, but I may sell soon in fear of this one dropping further.

Derek,

I doubt that Mossimo stock will due any big movement upwards if the company only reports expected loss. I think they company might even disclose a .4 to .5 cents loss instead of the projected .3 cents. The company is in disarray. The company and especially the CEO Mossimo, himself are going into areas in which they have be very unsuccessfull, such as the high priced suits and watches. Yes, summer is coming but I do not know if the sales for his clothing will be enough to get to a point where he can make big profits as his focus has been on other lines instead of the casual stuff. The stock is up a 1/2 today close to $7. I think their are a lot of speculative people hoping Mossimo will due better than the company said. I look for the stock to hit $5 if the news is bad. All the company has been doing is giving out bad news. Whether you sell it is up to you, I am just giving you my opinion. Good Luck

Well, a couple of you got your wish to sell above $7.00. However, things may be looking pretty good for MGX(given the stock price!)

Looking good for Mossimo??? What? Mossimo has been in single digits for almost ever except the recent stint at $11 for one day other than that this stock looks like a dog. I need this stock to back to double digits and beyond if I ever want to see my money again.

Bummer for you! I'm talking about the earnings outlook. Why is the stock acting like it is? Whisper numbers or speculation?

Your right, you bought a dog.........I can't believe your still holding!
