Re: "Well, the street didn't swallow that higher dividend crap either... stock traded 22 1/8 today."

I knew that the price went up today, but I didn't know that it got that high. Oh, wait a minute ... what year is this???

Best wishes,

I2

What's happening???? A fantastic earnings report, very positive outlook for the rest of the year, a 16% increase in stock price in one day... and THERE IS NOBODY HERE??!!

Hi Dipy. PBY's price action is even more significant in light of the fact that it's happening on a day where the overall market is taking a beating. I'm guessing that PBY's business has bottomed and management finally made the moves needed to regain previous levels of profitability and growth. (It took them long enough, didn't it?)

Best wishes,

I2

Yes, it sure took them a long time. But as long as they were increasing their dividends, my strategy would dictate that I hold the stock, which I did.

Btw, did you notice that the number of outstanding shares has come down from 60 million to about 50 million? There was a big share repurchase program last year, if I remember right.

Yes, I think the shares were purchased at $16... or was that $18?

Best wishes,

I think they specified a range. Like $14 to $16, if I remember right.

I am thinking of ditching one of my "dogs", i.e. SGI, and funneling the proceeds into PBY when the trading volume becomes normal again.

It appears that those who stayed away were the wise ones.

Yeah, it seems so. In any case, this has become such a small part of my portfolio now that I don't bother about it these days. Maybe when I have to sell it to offset some capital gains, I will see where it is. Not otherwise.

Best wishes.
