What about the other equipment makers? Are you especially fond of WJ and AMAT, or are they just the first two to catch your eye?

looking at fundamentals, no other semi equipment companies come close
to valuation like wj has. I am suprised at market capitalization of
wj.

The problem with WJ is visibility, they are unknown to everyone outside of informed investors like us. They need to raise their profile and get the PR machine rolling. They also need to get their act together and build a web page. Having said all that, this stock is CHEAP based on book and relative value vs. its peers. When do they report earnings?

Brandon,

There are some good deals across the board right now among many other ept. makers, however, I'm particularly interested in WJ and AMAT becuase they are ESPECIALLY good stocks to buy now. WJ is flat out a steal with great fundamentals, and I enjoy buying "low" and selling "high", which will definitly happen with these 2 particular stocks.
My broker at Merrill Lynch has provided me with some excellent research on these. Read some of the other replys to my original message & see what you think. If you like making money, and you know of other's who do too, tell them. These 2 stocks are where you need to be right now. Good luck!

Many equipment companies are undervalued currently. The strongest are
LRCX, AMAT and NVLS. I think the best investment opportunity is LRCX.They
are strong in R&D, as well as having a good product base in the field.

Good Luck

Can you explain why you think the company has "great fundamentals"?
The stock price is certainly depressed and would be great
to pick up in this down cycle, but that's if it has some
interesting products in the pipeline, hidden assets or great mgmt.
Perhaps, it's at ~19 for good reason. Anyway, I think
I will have to pick up a recent annual or quarterly
to check out their story. Not much info on them on the web.

Chuck

WJ has one of the lowest p/e's going for it relative to the others.
Additionally, I have a friend who works at AMAT, and he really respects some of the products WJ uses to compete with against AMAT, not that WJ is any match for AMAT, but the semi group as a whole is firming up and WJ has a really great reputation out there. Additonally, WJ is increasing it's play into to the wireless arena.

Also, check out Hoover's on-line and Briefcom for more detialed info as to why this stock has "great fundamentals". As to the reason it's priced around $19, this is symptomatic of the down trend that has plagued the entire industry for the last 6 months, rather than internal reasons, as the firm is "solid" with good management and excellent prospects in and industry that's starting to turn up now...
hmmm... sounds like a buying opportunity....right now....don't mull over it too long, do some research BEFORE it takes off! Good luck!

WJ stands for Watkins Johnson, their symbol is WJ on the NYSE.
Check it out, as now's a great time to get in! Good luck.
