If you've been following Stockhouse or reading the releases you will see that they are now drilling in Ve and doing work on the large nickel deposit in Guatemala, in which they will finish up with a 70% interest, in a huge deposit. I don't know what else the company can say at this point. The stock exchange has restrictions about what can be said about tonnage, etc., hopefully much more can be revealed when the $300,000 is spent. In terms of underlying value the company is worth a lot more now than previously - but it's a slow process. d

Without using too much imagination the guatemala Nickel property could turn into a flagship asset for this outfit.

If you are a shareholder in this company and have any experience at all with speculative mining stocks, then you should understand that the POG situation is impacting MOST stocks whether gold oriented or not. Technology and pseudo-technology stocks are in favor at the moment.

As well, CBI is at an early stage of its gold drilling program and the Ni project is still too early to convince investors that there is a lot of value there.

Again, IF as you say, you have invested a lot of money in this stock, then I can't figure out that you would not have come to these conclusions on your own.

IF you are looking for reassurance (we all need it from time to time) then I think no one can do that. You need to revisit your reasons for buying and if they are still present, ride it out perhaps.

You complain about the lack of promotion. Reality is that if they spent money promoting the stock to day traders, it would be money poorly spent. The market is not receptive to penny mining stocks. Better to use their funds for their business.

IF you really really want reassurance, call the company, rather than relying on anonymous Internet discussion groups.

Had a very good talk with Terry Flannigan today (BTW the AGM is in Montreal tomorrow):

1. Ve.

The results for the first hole and part of the second hole are excellent - 'as good or better than anything from La Salle 1'
The results confirm what was guessed from the visibles. The visibles on the remaining holes look good too. Samples from the remaining holes are out for assay. The zone appears to be running East/West unlike La Sallae 1 which was North/South. T.F. is very encouraged by this development.

2. Guatemala

Sampling from pits will commence next month - the purpose of this work is to see if the material is amenable to the leaching process which has been used in Cuba by Sherritt for years and is being used, with modification? under licence in Australia on three new projects. It's quite possible that the tests,if positive, will mean that even more of the resource can be recovered, since the previous owner was only considering transporting ore to a distant mill - and not using the leaching process in situ. There is no reason to suppose that the material won't be suitable, but it has to be confirmed in a 'pre-feasibility study'. CBI is in contact with other companies to monitor their progress. There had been some rumours that the new Australian operations had run into glitches - but Terry has been informed that these are the usual start up problems encountered by mining operations, and that things are on track.

Conclusion - great encouragement in Ve., and the Guatemalan situation has added, without dilution, an asset which could be a huge plus for this company, and is absolutely not reflected in the market price. d

As expected the stock didn't move much. It should stop the slide as the results are extremely encouraging. Hats off to Terry and Chris as the delay paid off. I know some were upset at the lack of news and delay but its obvious these Geo's know what they are doing. As I suggested previously fantastic results will make us move big but with more of the same we will have another gold zone that is economically feasible to mine when drilling is more advanced and numbers are stated .I feel mixed as its a downer with respect to our stock price(but what average jr. isn't)but excited that the gold is there. After the 12 holes are done I have a lot of questions to ask .One is what will cost be to get numbers from Lasalle and what will it take to prove up Anococo. Still remember that we have a huge nickel deposit that is also low cost in respect to world projects. Even the mining analyst at Yorkton liked the results. But until numbers are proven or turn around in gold market(not just the POG)we still have a big hill to climb though the latest results did make that hill a little smaller.

Hi - no, I'm not "out", just fed up of this and I have been devoting my energy to other sectors of the market. I (and I believe Gary also) have done well with RIM over the last 9 months. I've been to the previous two AGM's, but I feared that if I went to this meeting, I would have been thrown out for causing a disturbance with Dr. J. I still have hope that they will turn it around, as I know there are others here who have risked (and lost) much more than I have. Two years ago, I was very optimistic, even though there were battles ahead with the Venezuelan gov't, permits, Bre-x etc. Now, however, it's the price of gold, financing, good drill holes, new management, etc. Maybe when all the shysters are gone to the internets, some sort of reality will come again to the golds. All the best, Don Corleone

Is there anyone at all watching cbi these days? We should be at $0.10-$0.15 anytime now,and with no significant news do out until the fall. Is there anyone out there with the same opinion? When was the last time Stubbs posted here, and why has he been so quite of late.
