I look forward to watching the Chiefs/Titans in an hour. If that gets runaway I will switch to Falcons/Saints. Then I get Rams/Steelers. The Monday night game, 49's/Seahawks, should be a good one. lindybill@goodfootball.com

The Rams lose to the Steelers and neither one of them look like a playoff team. I never complain about the officiating but it was sure uneven in this game.

The spread was 3, so technically anyone who owned a farm in Buffalo didn't lose it if they bet it, though this has to be a devastating loss. Still, the Bills looks to be the best team in NY. When was the last time we could say that? - Jeff

The Bills are the only team in New York. The other two play in New Jersey. It has been that way for quite some time. Still, the Bills looks to be the best team in NY.

Should be a great match up tonight. The niners can get close to clinching the NFC West and maybe even home field for the playoffs with a win. The Seahawks would be doing a favor for all the NFC playoff wannabes by upsetting them in SF. Richard Sherman against his old Super Bowl teammates is a nice side plot. The niners have the statistical edge but I'll take the Hawks in a fourth quarter winning drive by the best fourth quarter winning drive QB in the 100 year history of the NFL. Wilson to Lockett for the game winner.

Best and only NFL team, maybe? Or are you referring to other sports as well? Without looking it up, I'd say the last time the Bills were any good was the early 90s, when they lost 4 Super Bowls in a row.

I'm talking more psyche. The Bills made the wild card last year, and then a bunch of times in the 90s, but even when they dominated the AFC in the 80s, you still had the Giants with LT and company to at least share the spotlight. Over the past few years, there was always hope the Eli would be Eli when he needed to be. This year, with the Giants going undefeated in the admittedly meaningless pre-season with Daniel Human Turnover Jones at QB, there was at least some hope that maybe the Giants had actually fooled all of us-- that Jones really was the best QB in the draft. Granted he's a rookie, but his decision making is horrible even when he's not pressured. He can't hit open guys, he is not showing any leadership, etc. Hopefully that all comes with experience, but no question the other rookies out there are far outperforming the guy. And the Jets, as a franchise, are as pitiful as they come... though the Redskins are trying their best to take that mantle. - Jeff

Best of all possible endings is a Wilson to Metcalf over the outstretched arms of Sherman to win it with no time on the clock. Followed by a Sherman interview.
