I don't like Phillips, but I can be bought. If they buy Fonar and a few of my other doggy stocks, at a great premium, I'll like them.

Linda,
what sell price will you enter as your limit? do you think the trade would go through at $21?

i should follow your lead.

Sorry, I'm out of town and have had trouble getting on line. You should really do the math. They have to pay you off by the time your options expire, mid-July, or sooner. You won't get 21 if you sell in the open market, so you have to figure out which is better for you.

I had no way of knowing when they'd pay me off, so that's why I did it this way; my options had years to run.

I ended up selling most of the shares today, ended up with 1500 shares. I didn't sell and I could keep them till they take them, or could sell them next week. I sold the rest at 20-31/32.

Dan and BWAC and others with Level II. Here's an anomaly: My paid service, quote.com, says that there were 29 ticks and that the number of shares traded today was 11,000. Freerealtime.com says there were 40 ticks and that the number of shares traded today were 20,500. Do either of you have any ideas about why there's a discrepancy like that?

No idea here. I show around 20,000 volume. Maybe it some sort of premarket/aftermarket trades that don't show up in one place or the other.

Or maybe Its Stein cashing in his golden options.

I think quote.com is wrong. They've been TOTALLY unreliable lately. If you show 20,000 and freerealtime is showing 20,500 that's probably right. I've got to find a better quote service. quote.com has been just terrible for over a month now, and it used to be so GOOD. Waaah!

Linda,

I'll add to the anomaly. As of the close, freerealtime.com shows 41 trades with total volume of 21,400 shares. Since the last trade was 100 shares, I don't see how freerealtime could have shown 40 trades and volume of 20,500 at 3:05 ET when you posted your message. The last trade needed to be 900 shares to add up to 21,400.

PC Quote shows 41 trades and volume of 21,400 shares. Signal shows 41 trades and volume of 21,400 shares. BWAC is correct that some services add pre-open trades and others don't. This is the most likely reason for the discrepancy that you noted although I thought quote.com added pre-open trades.

Another possibility is that you might be receiving delayed quotes even though you think they are real time. If you meet me on IRC or AOL one day, we can compare a few symbols in real time to see if your quotes are working properly. Send me a PM if you want to try it.

Hi, Dan. I believe that quote.com has been broken most of the time lately and that's that. If they don't fix it soon I must find another quote service. After the bell they pretty much caught up on volume and are showing it as 21,400, but they haven't caught up on ticks, showing 30 instead of 41.

I saw the freerealtime disparity, too. I was hoping they grabbed my remaining shares but nope. I sold 600 today and was left with 900. They're going to drag it out.

I'll be happy to meet you in real time. I don't have IRC but have been meaning to download it for a century. Do you have the url to find the software. I believe there is Mac software.

the bid and ask on vlsi dropped during the trading day today. does that mean that PHG stopped buying on the open market? it looks like I'll be stuck with some shares till they are forced to buy up the remaining shares out there. wonder when that will be....

It will about two weeks after the tender offer is finalized. You will be paid $ 21 for each share.
