Awesome quarter but AAPL is down in the AH.

Only Google is up of the big techs to announce today.

Bummer. Looks like it was all priced in so far, but we'll see how the market reacts during normal trading hours tomorrow.

JF,

Makes me wonder how the stock would have responded without a blowout quarter.

Yes. The market is very richly valued right now and we need a decent 10% or so correction on the S&P 500 to bring it back into range.

It's telling that GOOGL is the only stock up nicely after earnings.

We'll see what happens tomorrow. Analysts will be falling all over themselves to update price targets for AAPL moving forward.

Last quarter the numbers were amazing and the stock sold off.

This quarter the numbers are amazing and the stock sells off.

Guess the big money managers are trying to shake the weaker players out so they can buy the shares on the cheap.

Clean,

I was thinking this might happen based on what happened last quarter but I can never tell which way things are going to go anymore short term. I was hoping for a pop over 150 so I can sell some more shares and balance the portfolio but I may have to wait a while. For me, the long term is most important and things still seem solid for Apple.

Or

Oh let's face it - decades later and we're still beleaguered.

Today, soon Apple will announce earnings and this board will be lively and all abuzz with discussion.

Or not.

Noncommittal; nice... spoken like a true AAPL commentator and so-called analyst!!

NAG1, thanks for turning me on to PED 3.0. Did you see the comment from Jerry Doyle on the PED Forest Gump Article?

"Over the years I long have emphasized why owning and “holding” even a few shares of Apple puts you way ahead. And why owning and buying right now is still a very, very smart move."

Never sell... never surrender! :D

You are welcome. I have found his site informative to the point of thinking about joining later this year.

I have owned Apple for about a quarter of a century right now. I have sold a fair amount to diversify the portfolio. I also just retired and sold some Apple last year to make sure I had enough cash on hand in case the markets crashed secondary to COVID. Apple is still too big a part of my net worth but I am selling at certain points to rebalance the portfolio.
