According to this story, on September 30th he had 248,838,679: seekingalpha.com

That's more than several of the posters on this thread.

As the article stated that Moon posted, by my calculation, BH shares of Apple dropped by 0.3%. But since Apple bought back shares, their ownership percentage of Apple grew slightly and all their Apple holdings increased in value by 6 billion dollars.

Moon,

Warren Buffett increases Apple stake despite selling some stock

Isn't creative accounting wonderful?

In my mind, it is an unfortunate choice for title of the article. The title makes it sound like it was a choice that Buffett made but, in reality, the increased stake, by percentage of Apple owned, was due to Apple share buybacks.

Sure, for YOU, but NOT for HIM.
He got people to read his story instead of yawning, and he got PAID!

OT > You've tested this in L.A. and San Diego by going the speed limit through intersections up to the next light, extensively, late at night with no other traffic around?

Yes. I'm a night person. I drive to a place I can ride my bike safely almost every night. I'm one of those weird people who slows for red lights and takes off for green lights... unless a BMW goes screaming around me to hit the light red. And then sits there on the phone when it turns green.

> You don't see any pavement sensors in the middle of the street, you know, those large circles or squares with the rounded off corners in the road, anywhere?

Plenty of them. Here they are all right in front of the lights, which means you have to get so close to the light you end up stopping just as it turns green.

San Diego was called "America's most corrupt city" by the Wall Street Journal at least twice... even though the climate is nice.

OT: roundabouts

Yes they work better than 4 stop signs at low traffic two lane intersections.

Actually at a lot of places where there are lights I would prefer stop signs. Never hit em green anyhow... at least with stop signs you can proceed without needlessly waiting.

I'm obsessed with street design because of my design background an because my hourly depends on how efficiently I can get to jobs. I pretty much know all the back routes around gridlocked areas in San Diego... for example because of NIMBYism you don't want to drive into La Jolla directly... miles long traffic jam on the main route everyday all hours... hideous place, I would never buy there.
