OK, I'm puzzled. AMDL got a $2.3 million purchase order to sell DR-70 test kits for $100 to $120 each and their real cost to produce the kit is about $3 to $5 each. Are these guys about to control the GNP? |

Their news release of 5/23/00 is the most optimistic news I've heard of this company in a long time if not ever. I misquoted the sell price. The article says $120 to $150 each. Even if that includes a 300% mark-up from AMDL to end user, the profit is unreal. The $3 to $5 cost to make the kits was what the company told me several years ago. The article says they've already shipped enough product for the 1st 1 million tests. We are talking about 1 country here! Is it finally time? . Easy :) . |

Thanks Easy, I had not seen that release. Though I do find the numbers very difficult to interpret. _______________________________________________________
It says that the intial order was for 10,416 kits which is sufficient to test 1,000,000 people. Huh?
1 M divided by 10,416 = 96 Are they doing 96 individuals per kit? ________________________________________________________ The expected cost is between $120 - $150 per person. Huh?
$2.3 M divided by 10,1416 = $220.81 each. Note: This does not apparently include the Doctor and Hospital costs. The figures don't make any sense to me. We need more information. |
