Today marks the 17th anniversary of the 2007 Gaza civil war between Hamas and Fatah political factions. Hamas violently seized complete control of Gaza, crushing many Gazans' hopes for the future.

Hamas murdered hundreds of Palestinians during the war, notably throwing Gazans off rooftops and forcing them to live under their terrorist rule. Whether or not they were democratically elected the year before, in this civil conflict, Hamas solidified their authoritarian regime.

For 17 years, Hamas has waged terror against both their own people and Israelis. They are single-minded in their pursuit of killing Jews and establishing a single Islamist state. Their October 7th attack pushed their agenda into the world spotlight.

Yet, instead of finally condemning Hamas and working to revive the peace process to give Palestinians a better future, much of the international community is now rallying in support of this terrorist regime.

Palestinians deserve a future free from Hamas.

Yeah, I know. Jews are so touchy, antisemitism is never violent.

Are you aware of how stupid that comment is but choose to make it anyway? Or just unaware?

I'm quite aware of "how stupid" that comment was, but I exaggerated for effect. Maybe I should have included other groups that felt put upon (rightists, religious fanatics, etc.), but you get the idea - maximal retaliation for a minimal slight.

But in the meantime I am asking that you refrain from personal insults on this thread.
