My favorite scene in all of film history.

I've memorized Rutger Hauer's final words as Roy Batty and can recite them easily.

Just watched the Final Cut version of Blade Runner last night with my father. I missed the much-maligned Deckard voiceover in parts, but overall it is the ultimate version of the movie.

Thank you for posting those vids!

Hauer's delivery was also magnificent.. his voice perfect for the part IMO ...so poignant

Yes a truly beautiful scene..

I am looking for one from the tv Mini Series Shogun .. I can find quotes but no video...

This the quote

“Leave the problems of God to God and karma to karma. Today you're here and nothing you do will change that. Today you are alive and here and honored and blessed with good fortune. Look at this sunset, it's beautiful, neh? This sunset exists. Tomorrow does not exist. There is only now. Please look. It is so beautiful and it will never happen ever again, never, not this sunset, never in all infinity. Lose yourself in it, make yourself one with nature and do not worry about karma, yours, mine, or that of the village.”
-- James Clavell

It was the Mariko character speaking to the Angin-San character.. I had the biggest crush on that actress LOL

I wish there were more scenes posted.. Stuck in the tree was classic.. One of Ron Perlman's earliest ? as was the scene with the cannibalistic brutes... It showed a group brought in by another and made more human...

There are so many great scenes in this flic with no intelligible language... I think the choice to go that route although hotly contested apparently was best... it made this movie like reading a book.. You needed your imagination... and that makes it individually special...

and of course Rae Dawn Chong was a hottie back then LOl
