Just like other pharmacists only they order/handle radioactive drugs (radio-pharmaceuticals) used in nuclear medicine. I can tell you that job got a whole lot harder after 9/11 happened, much stronger rules were put into action about that type of medical drugs/material.

My old employer had automatic radioactive scanners set up at key entrances used by environmental services employees and others who came into contact with things like "red bag" material to stop it being handled wrong. They would trigger an alarm and lock doors tight until it could be looked into. Handling it wrong also meant a huge fine if it made it out of the hospital in any way. Most landfills utilize the same technology now days.

Of course they also had the very first HUGS baby tags system too, they not only locked maternity floors down tight they also locked the elevators.

Most of my NEE happened in the 50s and some in the low 60s, couldn't ignore it there. They might get there again, herds busy reaching for expensive tech seems to me.

Not that I mind that if I own it already :)

Where we pick blueberries is looking fantastic this year so far, around 5 acres of tall bush ones at our friend Jim's patch.

re: NEE plan to sell $2 Billion in equity units

NEE posted a pair of News items today. The 1st are plans to sell $2 Billion in equity units
Details can be read here.... NextEra Energy to sell equity units

How much $2 Billion dilutes the share price of a $150 Billion Market Cap, I guess we'll see,
but on the surface the math (2/150) works out to 1.3%, based on Monday's closing price.

2nd News item of the day for NEE is Entergy and NextEra Energy Resources announce
agreement to develop up to 4.5 GW of new solar and energy storage projects

Are the two news items related?

NEE is a Core Holding in my Retirement Portfolio

I'll be heading up that way again in a couple weeks, should make it a two day trip and pick a few myself. :) We do have blueberries here, but nothing like the Finger Lakes.

Probably? Those projects don't build themselves, and they aren't wholly funded by retained earnings.

We have a few blueberry bushes here in NOLA and we are just about done for the year. The birds are brutal so I built some cages with PVC pipe and mesh netting to protect them.

Thanks for responding on PAYX. I respect your opinion. I am a. bit non-plussed with the stock's performance despite the continued healthy dividend growth. Maybe I will hold for another year to see what happens. Certainly it is a candidate to get cut at some point if the price performance does not improve.

    Re: PAYX

I would watch the earnings estimates, as projected earnings growth is already on the low side at 6%. If the estimates continue to come down, then the stock is going nowhere for a while. On the other hand, if the estimates are revised upward then you could see the stock get a kick again.

That's one area where I'm fully on board with Chowder -- earnings momentum is key to valuing a stock, as it drives both the denominator and the multiple. Very hard to get a rising price with falling earnings growth.

    Great Comment!

We will need to remember this observation. Earnings are what drives all good things in the market.
