Francis couldn't miss, yet I can't recall him even getting the ball in OT or the end of the regulation.

On that reversed out of bounds call, wow. The right call in super slo mo, but my guess is that if you similarly slowed down all balls slapped away out of bounds, almost all of which get called on the defender, you'd find half actually lingered on the ball carrier's fingers for a microsecond more. Still, "who touched it last" is the only fair way to figure out who should get the ball.

And finally, we talked about how when "everyone knows" this will be a low-scoring game, as it truly was to start, it usually isn't. Of course, few people factor in the possibility of OT. This game was over-- way over.

I was going to mention the reversal of the call. it was ticky tacky. Not definitive. Bogus reversal. but prior to that, Moretti was fouled from behind by guy
No call

That said. Virginia is a great finishing team. Not to mention 14 straight free throws at the end.

It's a shame the title is a sham. Ref blew dd call. Auburn should have been in the title game.

I wish I had know more names on the list (vs their SI alias) so I could have called out more people. The post was far more entertaining than the victory....Dough Boy

Semi-OT: Pro Basketball fans? ...

The SI NBA subject board ...

Subject 25141

The 2018/2019 NCAA College Basketball season is over but the NBA pros are finishing their regular season and will be starting their playoff schedule in 1½ weeks on Saturday April 13.

There is a single SI NBA subject board [Basketball Junkie Forum (NBA)] and while it has been around since 1999 and attracted some 2000 postsit has seen very little posting activity in the last several years.

I've updated the board's header and populated it with some useful NBA links and I'll be posting to it on occasion during the playoffs. Others are invited to do likewise.

In addition to posts on the current season and playoffs I'll be posting about the league itself, it's great teams, players, coaches and rivalries from a historical perspective. . My own personal focus is the Eastern Conference and in particular the Celtics and 76ers.

Feel free to subject mark the board and post to it if you are interested.

Cheers, - Eric L. -

He mentioned tonight was pudding night so all the ol' geezers may be up later. They just love it when dessert doesn't get caught between their gums and dentures
