Hello Silicon Investors. I mainly use Silicon Investor to follow OLED, but I wanted to let the community know about Select Energy Services (WTTR). I have owned this stock for about 4 months. I have a base of about $14.70. Yesterday Mr. Bert from Seeking Alpha wrote a long article outlining why he thinks the stock could be a double or triple from here. Mr. Bert doesn't write very often, and more importantly his last article recommended Tusk at $17.00, which is now trading around $37 a share. The man does his research!. It is really worth a read.

The stock was trading in the high 17's just a few weeks ago. It fell with the oil stocks when OPEC announced production increases. There also seems to a fairly large seller hanging around, and who knows if he is done yet. The stock is running today. I hope a few of you will take the time to read the article and make a decision from there. I am going to guess Mr. Bert has found another diamond in the rough.

I hope to hear some feedback!

Here is the link to the article.

I agree this is an interesting play and I have followed Mr Bert on SA ; everyone agrees that water is scarce and this is the type of stock Peter Lynch or Fidelity Magellan fame would have been all over !
Boring company with a boring name , a moat built around the business model and, a story that's not only not well known but, certainly misunderstood by those analysts in the energy business - lots of room for upside.
I will take a position . jb

Thank you very much for posting!

I have been reading a long time in the oled section and have there as well my biggest position.
The seeking alpha article was very interesting, did anyone find something else about the company?
Thinking seriously about a buy in.

Rusty.

The company operates mostly in the USA right now. They do offer some services in Canada. I am sure they could always expand overseas but right now there is more than enough growth to grab here is the USA.

Welcomed aboard. Hopefully you got in at a decent price today. I doubled my position yesterday at higher prices. The pictured hasn't changed today. Frackers are all getting hit today, and they brought down WTTR with them. Bottom line the fracking in the USA is just getting started. The speed of recovery has caused some kinks, and they will work these all out. The main issues are take away capacity, and labor. The demand is very heavy. I am invested in LBRT and WTTR. I believe both have strong management teams and will advance their companies quite well in this boom period. The author of the article is obviously very smart and I made decent money following his advice in TUSK.

The Permian Basin in Texas and New Mexico will soon become the third-biggest oil producing region in the worldThis is a big reason why I love the future for WTTR.
