Grid Down first 40 on cyber destruction , rest on solar storms . System repair in the last 15 .
Rough estimate .

| From: Doug R | 4/24/2024 6:40:22 AM | | | | | | Get 'em while they're hot. What could go wrong? “Throwflame [company] say the Thermonator is the first-ever flame-throwing quadruped robot dog. The Ohio-based firm have announced the $9,420 bot is available for purchase by the general public and government agencies for the first time." . Gives "Beware of Dog" a whole new meaning. A must-have for every (well, maybe not every) prepper.

We had that geomagnetic jerk early last year after a couple others already in the 2000s. They're coming closer together. With each one, magnetosphere strength takes a step down. Here's a list from the 1900s, time between jerks is narrowing rapidly.
"...geomagnetic jerks have also been observed to occur around 1925, 1978, 1991, and 1999..." link.springer.com
The Sun doesn't really have to do anything spectacular to take out the grid at this point. |

Drone proofing: The main garden is about 1200 sq. ft. The border is 6'6" ft. high. Internal fencing going up is 6 ft. chain link. Potatoes(lots) carrots, onions, radishes in the ground. Corn, beets, squashes, melons, strawberries, cucumbers on deck. Maybe I'll get that Thermonator as a guard dog....besides my 2 guard(en) real dogs. Feared by nearly everyone in town. They're sweethearts...unless. The romaine I let go to seed last year is coming up in the front yard again. Lots more to go in. 4 other smaller plots too.
