It's doesn't look like the situation is stable yet. One of the data series I have been looking is the swelling of the landmass, addressed as "uplift". This is the data I have found so far.

There's also a tropical storm system in the area and the Sun's tossing out M-class flares. Radio blackout surge from one flare centered on the area as well. Lots of things lining up. A coronal hole stream is due soon.
