Period. youtube.com I would also point out that tear gas had been used multiple occasions over the course of the week, including Minneapolis, Kansas City (where crowds weren't even that big) and numerous other places. This is part of crowd control. In this case, the used pepper pellets instead of tear gas, but neither is harmful. This is how crowds are controlled when it is necessary. I think anyone should be able to see it was entirely appropriate in the circumstances. I would like to comment on one other point: The "peaceful" in "Peaceful Protests" requires a timestamp. If it happens to be peaceful throughout, then maybe not. But if at any point it is not peaceful, it is meaningless not to timestamp it, and if there is a likelihood of it becoming violent as was in the case, it may be advisable to disperse the crowd early so as to avoid the kinds of problems that appeared earlier in the week in both DC and other places, where total loss of control occurred. You will allow that large, angry crowds do require controlling, right?

Right. Third storm and the season is less than a week old. Granted, the first two preceded the official start of season, but even so... No doubt Trump will claim that the hurricanes are colluding with the Democrats.

If you looked at the detail on those 'police', you'd notice they had removed their name tags. The ones that had badges had the badge numbers covered with a black strip of tape. WHY?
