Sorry to admit this...

...But this devious, hate-filled, hyper-partisan gasbag is my CA State Representative.

I wish there was some way I could file for a divorce.

MASTERFUL: Ted Cruz Schools Jennifer Rubin on The Bard

BY TYLER O'NEIL FEB 10, 2021 10:00 PM ET

MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell attempted to fact-check Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) after he quoted Shakespeare, and Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin rushed to mock his supposed stupidity. As it turns out, Cruz — not Mitchell — was correct. Mitchell had the good sense to apologize, but it seems Rubin has yet to do so.

During an appearance on the Fox News show America’s Newsroom, Cruz quoted The Bard to summarize the second impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.

“It’s reminiscent of Shakespeare — that it is full of sound and fury, and yet signifying nothing,” said Cruz, referencing part of a well-known soliloquy from “Macbeth.”

Yet Mitchell claimed that Cruz got his authors mixed up. “[Cruz] says [the impeachment trial] is like Shakespeare full of sound and fury signifying nothing. No, that’s Faulkner,” she tweeted.

Rather than checking her facts, Rubin rushed to mock the senator. She claimed “it says volumes about his lack of soul. That’s Any Thinking Person.”

New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof set them straight. “Faulkner wrote the book ‘The Sound and the Fury.’ But the phrase comes from Shakespeare’s Macbeth: ‘It is a tale, told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.’ The whole passage is beautiful,” Kristof tweeted.

“Methinks she doth protest too much,” Cruz responded. “One would think NBC would know the Bard. Andrea, take a look at Macbeth act 5, scene 5: ‘[Life] struts & frets his hour upon the stage, And then is heard no more. It is a tale Told by an idiot, full of sound & fury, Signifying nothing.'”

Responding to both Mitchell and Rubin, Cruz quipped, “Between NBC & the Washington Post, you’d think somebody would have read Macbeth.”

To her credit, Mitchell apologized. “I clearly studied too much American literature and not enough Macbeth. My apologies to Sen. Cruz,” she responded.

It does not seem Rubin has yet responded.

Gina Carano Off ‘The Mandalorian’ After Social Media Comments

– Deadline

Carano played bounty hunter Cara Dune on the first two seasons Lucasfilm and Disney+’s The Mandalorian, and it looked like we’d be seeing more of her. It appears not.

The actress shared a TikTok post comparing the current divided political climate in the U.S. to Nazi Germany.

“Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don’t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views,” she wrote. ...

Someone Tell President Trump’s Attorneys – The Democrats’ Footage Showing Violence at the Capitol on January 6th Was Filmed by Antifa

By Joe Hoft
Published February 11, 2021 at 8:00am

Someone, please tell President Trump’s attorneys that the main evidence used by the Democrats to prove violence at the Capitol on January 6th comes from Antifa.

On Tuesday the Democrats in the House pled their case that President Trump should be impeached because he was behind the violence at the Capitol on January 6th. In their opening remarks they shared this shocking video of the actions that day in the Capitol:

Of course, the Democrats removed the President’s remarks where he told his supporters to “peacefully and patriotically make their voices heard.”
But what the Democrats also neglected to point out is that the video that they used comes from Antifa. The Democrats want to blame the entire mess inside the Capitol on President Trump and his followers but the facts show the violence was led by the Democrat connected violent group known as Antifa.

Throughout the Democrats’ video from their opening statement they use video footage from Jayden X. This video was filmed by a man named John Sullivan who is a member of Antifa.

Sullivan organized an Antifa event at the Capitol that very day. Then embed himself in with these violent hoodlums in the Capital and filmed their destruction:

Sullivan was later on CNN with a photojournalist who was at the Capitol and they described the events in the Capitol that day. They of course didn’t discuss with CNN that they were cheering each other on and saying “We done it!” while inside the Capitol.

Sullivan even bragged about dressing as a Trump supporter at the Capitol:

And to no one’s surprise there is video footage of Sullivan training Antifa soldiers and selling riot equipment at his website:

We’ve reported on other who appear to be members of Antifa who were at the Capitol that day. Sullivan wasn’t the only Antifa member at the Capitol:

The Democrats’ primary source for information showing President Trump and his supporters rioting in the Capitol comes from Antifa.

From Powerline - Mitchell was an ENGLISH MAJOR

UPDATE: I am sorry to report that Andrea Mitchell (who is allegedly noteworthy only because she is married to Alan Greenspan, maybe we should return to describing her that way) majored in English literature at Penn. So she has no excuse for being ignorant of both Shakespeare and Faulkner. Maybe she skipped class a lot, I don’t know. But one way or another, she failed to get the most basic education. And now she is trying to export her ignorance to the rest of us.
