It looks like the left is also convinced that Trump is going to win. So they're thinking why wait for the vote in November if we can have our revolution now? When they're thinking they have nothing left to lose but an election this is the result. The election is now meaningless to them. Anarchy and riots is all that's left for them. This was coming no matter what. George Floyd wasn't the catalyst, he was the excuse. Many of us said this was going to be a long hot summer. It was planned in advance and ready to roll out. Maybe a little earlier than they wanted because it interfered with their sd and lockdown mantra but they quickly backed off that
narrative.
There is also no such thing as "white privilege" - the only real privilege that I see is the so -called elite especially in government. Do some people have a better chance than others? Absolutely, but it is more reflective of your parents and their situation and how you are raised. Coming from a two parent family is statistically a great advantage. Coming from the middle class or affluent is an advantage but not one that can't be overcome by hard work and study.
I was in management over 30 years, being black over most of that time frame was an advantage if you had good grades and a good work attitude. There were literally more opportunities for you than for a white male.
When I was a teen, I and my friends were sometimes hassled by the police. Yah, we looked like we were looking for trouble and deserved the attention.
The poor in this country and probably the majority are inner city kids have been severely marginalized by an educational system that doesn't weed out bad actors and doesn't allow children who want to learn to achieve their goals. The fault of this lies at the feet of liberalism and the dim city government that is one party rule.
America is the land of opportunity. Why do so many people want to come here legal or otherwise? It is because free enterprise is the best economic system. Many poor and indigent people come here with a strong work ethic and within a generation have far surpassed the poor in our country. |
