Here we have another fine example of what happens when politics are allowed to go unchecked on an investment thread. Since a well-established alternative exists, this one gets renamed and retired to the Politics Forum.

As far as your post goes, it's a TOU violation, politics forum or not.

Very Noble, BUT

I've read some of the 9/11 report. After Bush was given the Aug 6 imminent attack warning, which he referred to as, "a historical document", there is no evidence that any action whatsoever was taken to protect the country domestically.

I am curious about his reasoning-- perhaps someone could post Bush's side.

Bush's side is that he was busy playing golf.

I believe the "telecom/internet sector, including their equip suppliers" are the key drivers for most of the semi and therefore semi-equip companies.

Looks like the telecom/internet sector is finally looking up. Today's durable goods report showed good order growth in telecom equipment and GLW just pleased analysts. Internet ad spending meanwhile was up 27%.

Back to politics--I am furious at Senator Stevens of Alaska for being the biggest porker of all--especially the 250 million dollar bridge and the 5 million salmon paint job on a plane. I called him to tell him that I cancelled my plans for an Alaskan trip and would boycott Alaskan products unless he recognized legitimate national priorities above his egregious pork legislation.

The real issue is that congress is elected by local constituents who love the pork and national interests, e.g, mass transportation, pollution, preventing floods, terrorism, defense, nuclear waste, becomes submerged to regional pork issues--at the expense of the country. Stevens is the biggest of the many pigs---fred
